Tony was a total professional from the start. The work was for a rental unit and he understood that I wanted quality for a decent price. He made suggestions on material of door and style, telling which was better and why. He told me everything that was involved in the job and gave me a timeline which he stuck too. He was very friendly with the tenants, who are easily upset, and made them love him too. I paid the agreed upon price and he even made a minor repair to a storm window and carted away a few old wood doors for free. All in all a very positive experience.

These guys really helped us out of a jam. We just bought and gutted a 1910 home and discovered that the whole weight of the house had been sitting on floating joists for decades. To make matters worse, the first contractor we hired took 50% of our money and did very little work over 3 weeks time - at which point we fired him - about 15% of the job done. Daniel from True North received our SOS call Dec 22nd, called us back within hours and had an appt booked for the next day. From the start, he put our fears to rest. Already a little burned on trusting contractors, he walked through the job site, answered questions and explained how it all needed to work and why. He really knew his stuff. He pushed other work back in order to fit us in because of the situation we were in. His quote on job and timeline never increased, in fact it actually ended up coming in under. His guys were pleasant and professional and treated the space as if it were their own. They took a lot of pride in their work and even fixed little things here and there that went beyond the scope of work quoted. All in all, an excellent experience. True North helped us enjoy our holidays instead of obsessing about getting ripped off by a sleazy contractor. I would recommend these guys in a heartbeat.

Spring Home did a totally professional job, they did it fast and they were a pleasure to deal with. At 2am the night before New Years Eve a furnace blew at our income property. We were facing a holiday with no heat for 5 people with temperatures around -6. Cy from Spring Home called me right back by 9:30am and had a technician at the house within 2 hours. He thoroughly inspected the basement and by 3pm that day we had a crew at the house installing a high efficiency furnace. It was a hard job - low ceilings, tight spaces and almost no place to vent. In the end, the expected 5 hour job took 3 hours longer than that, but Cy and his team stuck with their quote and didn't raise prices. They left to celebrate the new year at about 11pm and we could finally relax and enjoy ours. I would use them again in a heartbeat.

I found Enrique and his crew through a google search. He answered his phone right away, quoted on the same day and when he arrived, walked me through the entire project. He clarified any confusion I had and even took pictures to show me isolated branches so I knew exactly what the result would be. Not only was he friendly and professional, he went the extra mile to ask about neighbours and alert me to possible concerns that I hadn't thought of. His crew arrived within the week and did the job in one day, leaving my backyard cleaner than when they started. All in all, a great experience.

I hired John the night before. He showed up exactly when he said he would at 8am, helped me make some on the spot decisions, and went and purchased the fixtures with little direction from me. He ran wire and conduit to install 3 outdoor lights - one on each floor of the house - by noon. And he did it all for a very affordable price. It was the easiest contractor experience I've ever had.
