I was leaving the country for about 9 days when one of my tenants called to say that the furnace was not working. I called Visic Brothers who installed the furnace years earlier and had always serviced it. I told them that I was leaving the country and had left a key in the mailbox for them to access the basement. They came the next day to investigate and discovered that I needed a new motor. The cost was around $1300. One of my tenants offered to pay them but they refused as it is a hefty bill to expect a tenant to pay. They said that they that they would wait until I returned to receive payment. The motor was ordered and replaced within a few days. I am very grateful that they did the work without me there and went ahead with the necessary repair. I can't say that there are too many companies out there that would do the same thing. I contacted the Exterminators along with two other pest control companies when I found out that I had cockroaches in an income property with four units. Yanni was the first to return my call. He was knowledgeable and answered all of my questions. I did not find a review for him but was desperate to have someone come in and take care of the problem as soon as possible. Yanni and his partner arrived on the scheduled day within 15 minutes of the appointment time. He went through the property and pulled out all the fridges and stoves. For the services, everyone had to leave the building for about four hours. All the tenants were on board and had no problem with complying. Yanni and his partner then donned protective gear and went to work. They started in the basement and made their way to the attic. When they were in the basement, I decided to peek in to see how they were doing it. I was on the second step to the basement when the smell of the poison that they were putting down was overwhelming. I high tailed it out of there and let them complete the job. Yanni and his partner used three forms of control to get rid of the cockroaches. They sprayed all the apartments, paying attention to the kitchens and bathrooms. They placed a powder down in the lower cabinets and under the fridge and stove and they put down bait. Once the job was done I paid for the service and Yanni issued me a three month guarantee on the work. The poison was immediately effective and took out the adults within a few days as they came out from their hiding spots. The poison is effective for 30 days. Any bugs that hatched after the 30 days were killed by the powder and anything that survived that would have been killed by the bait. Overall I am very pleased with the results. They were really thorough and the problem was resolved. I would not hesitate to contact them again. Since I have an income property, I understand that I paid more than what the typical extermination would cost. I would recommend them to anyone who I knew were suffering from the same problem.

I just wanted to say that Alex was great. He was on time and professional. He did a great job with a 100 year old tub and I am very pleased that I refinished it instead of having it thrown out.
