TERRIBLE Maid Cleaning Service
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Wanted a company that did spring cleaning that included full service, maid, carpets and window services and thought Clean4me’s website showed a lot of promise as it advertised that “Clean4me’s trusted One Call Cleans It All™ convenience gives you a full cleaning service”. TERRIBLE AND DOES NOT FOLLOW THROUGH ON THEIR CLAIMS such as “deliver quality Home Cleaning Services”, that “you can trust our maid service to clean your home”, and they “absolutely guarantee you’ll be happy with the results”. FALSE when it comes to their maid service! Hired them for the very first time to do a spring cleaning. Their maid service was a shoddy and the company’s claims of “absolute guarantees” are insincere! I came home to find superficial cleaning. The bathrooms were wiped down but nothing was really moved because there was still some dirt that should have been cleaned if they bothered to lift items like the trash can, etc; they didn’t even bother cleaning the stove as it was not even touched. Needless to say, the floor did not feel clean after supposedly doing a “thorough” cleaning. They didn’t even bother to hide their terrible dusting because when I lifted underneath coasters, etc. you can see the dust. This is not what a “spring cleaning” at a charge of $150 should look like! When I contacted the office to complain, I was told they would be able to come for a “touch up”. I complained that I should receive more than a touch up as I hired them to do “spring cleaning” not superficial cleaning. Either return and clean properly or don’t charge me. Instead, I received an email from the owner stating they would not be coming over and gave me lame excuses why they would not clean as promised and still charged me $150. First, the cleaners were supposed to arrive at 9 am so that I could personally walk them through my home as discussed with the Clean4me assistant prior to hiring Clean4me, but I had to leave for work when they did not come. I was also advised me in his email that “the team was there for nearly 2 hours [saying] (they called when they arrived and when they departed).” How about only one and a half hour NOT NEARLY 2 hours?! In fact, they arrived at 9:30 and stayed only until 11 as I had my adult son present and knew when they arrived and left. Worse, the owner tried to shame me by stating that my “son was watching [an inappropriate] show out in the open on the flat screen TV while the cleaning ladies were cleaning”, and gave this as the reason why they would not be returning to clean my place and tried to insinuate and infer “this to be a sensitive matter between you and your family.” First of all, my son, while working on his laptop, was watching a tv show and last time I checked, it was not considered nor categorized as inappropriate. In fact, the same can be said of the cleaners themselves who reeked of cigarette smoke and even one of the cleaners’ cell phone rang and the ring tone had more offensive words. Bottomline, Clean4me did not carry out what they were contracted to do, and rather than correct their unsatisfactory workmanship, tried to spin it back to being a problem with me as the client, AND still charge me the full cost, so as not to have to correct what they were hired to do.

THE FACT IS YOUR ADULT SON WAS CAMPED OUT WITH EXPLICIT SEXUAL CONTENT PLAYING ON THE BIG TV IN THE OPEN FAMILY/LIVING ROOM WHILE THE CLEANING LADIES WERE WORKING.
I’ve had to give this serious deliberation and I simply cannot let this inappropriate, inaccurate and mean-spirited review stand.
IN THE TEAM LEADER’S WORDS, “THERE WAS SEX AND A LOT OF SCREAMING.”
AS AN EMPLOYER I HAVE A RESPONSIBILITY TO PROTECT CLEAN4ME STAFF CONSISTENT WITH OUR SAFE AND HEALTHY WORK ENVIRONMENT STATEMENT.
It was loud, uncomfortable and impossible to avoid. You have chosen to bring this into a public forum and left me little choice but to respond. The cleaning ladies could hear full sex scene volumes all the way back in the washroom.
I diplomatically notified you in case you wanted to address it as a family matter - that is your personal business. As an employer and General Manager, I pointed that I could not send the cleaning ladies back because it is our responsibility to provide a work environment free from harassment or conditions which can be deemed uncomfortable, unsafe or inappropriate.
YOUR RESPONSE TO ME (FROM YOUR COMMUNICATION) WAS AS FOLLOWS:
“First of all, my son was not watching porn, he was watching Netflix and the TV show was Sense8 - last time I checked, this TV show was not considered pornographic and although, it may have had sex scenes in it, they were and are not considered inappropriate nor pornographic in nature, and it was a TV show. I do not consider this a sensitive matter as you suggest or that I would be embarrassed by a TV show, because I know my child and your cleaners are just making silly and lame excuses for their terrible work.”
AS YOU STATED, THE PROGRAM IN QUESTION WAS SENSE 8. Thank you for clarifying.
I’m sorry if this comes as a revelation to you but not all Netflix viewing is, “just a TV show.” You say you checked but I’m not sure you have, Ana.
SENSE8 is assessed WITH AN IMDb SEX & NUDITY RATING of “SEVERE”
PLUS… SENSE8 is rated MA (Mature / 17+) by www.CommonSensMedia.org CSM PARENT REVIEWS are equally straightforward. A few such online SENSE8 CSM reviews are included here for your reference…
CSM Adult Review: Firstly this show is full of sex and nudity including male full frontal, gay, lesbian, straight, you name it.
CSM Adult Review: There are various sex scenes (and yes they are between couples of varying orientations, but I personally don't think that should matter), lots of nudity of woman, a few scenes with male full frontal nudity, and one scene displaying an orgy.
CSM Adult Review: One of the early sex scenes where the character played by Freema Agyeman of Doctor Who has sex with a transgender character using a strap-on actually would have been fine and progressive if they'd known where to draw the line, but the scene became porn when they decided we just had to see the business end of the toy afterwards.

http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/review/sense8-review-1000283It’s not my place to judge. Truly. Heck. I didn’t even know the show existed until you mentioned it.
Whether you understand this or not about SENSE8, it is your business. But when you have workers come into your home, they are entitled to the same Work Environment courtesy as any other workplace.
I think you would be hard pressed to make a case that a young man playing the explicit content of Sense8 at full blast while sitting out in the open on the main floor of YOUR office workplace would be acceptable.
As a woman, some might take the opinion one should know better than to put other women in such an awkward situation and then subject them to mean-spirited insults to try and extort free cleaning to hurt and degrade them.
I have included Clean4Me’s Professional Work Environment Statement for reference.
Professional Work Environment: Everyone should be able to work in a safe and healthy workplace. Clean4Me staff are entitled to a work environment free from harassment and conditions which could compromise their health or safety. Cleaners may suspend work if faced with conduct or conditions which they may deem unsafe.
Reported as it occurred, this incident represents a case of potential workplace harassment and as an employer under Bill 168 I have a responsibility to investigate and take measures to protect Clean4Me employees.
I’m sorry you chose to bring this into a public forum.
I hope this helps people understand that Clean4Me is committed to professionalism even in the face of threats and extortion. We are ladies and gentlemen serving ladies and gentlemen.
And I won’t allow our staff to be subjected to harassment or bullied in the workplace.
We wish you the very best and good luck, Ana.
