It was the summer of 2002 and we decided to have a pool installed, we knew nothing about the process other than it had to be a salt water system and were just sitting there with an open cheque book and received 3 quotes. We had to beg the first company to come and look at our yard and then sit back when they gave us nothing but negative feed back with regards to the grade of our property and how much it was going to cost. The second company refused to install a salt water pool as they had not been proven to be effective (even though we had enjoyed one in Florida for the past 7 years) they said NO WARRANTY at all, OH and they were the most expensive! The third company seemed to be the most accommodating but I still felt uneasy and we had to make our decision quickly. A good friend of ours was telling a co-worker about our situation and that co-worker suggested that we contact the good folks at Classic Pools as they had installed their pool 5 years earlier. They loved dealing with them and the pool had been installed promptly and had been problem free for the past 5 years. I remember it like it was yesterday. I called early morning and my message was returned within an hour by Martine, I told her that I did not want to waste any of her time and gave her the run down on what we were planning and deciding. She said that it would not be a waste of her time and went to our house that afternoon and had a look, after sizing up our property she then came to my office with a hand drawn diagram of what she felt would work. I liked what I saw and said that I would need 24 hours to think about it. I went home that night to find Greg in my back yard measuring and looking around. He spoke to me like a friend and did not try to sell anything, he said that it would not be like work but would be like playing in my yard and making a masterpiece. The next night both Martine and Greg arrived at our house with their proposal and quote. It was then that I asked Greg how long he and his team were going to disrupt our lives not to mention our Dog Archie and he said 3 weeks, I asked to have that in writing and his response was (you have my word) and extended his hand. From that point I knew that we were dealing with a company that had integrity. BTW they were finished 2 days early! From the first day to the last they conducted themselves in a professional manor and I have to say that ten years later our pool is still a master piece. Anyone can build you a pool that will look good and blow your mind upon completion but not everyone can do it so that a decade later still people arrive at our home and stand there speechless just looking at our yard. I would be happy to let anyone come and see what kind of condition my pool is in after ten years of use and once you see it you will be asking where to sign. jdd1963@hotmail.com OH I forgot ......
