Our AC was not cooling at all, so we were not sure if it was the refrigerant inside or what the issue was. Ather was the Technician who came by and he was very knowledgeable. The AC is an old unit of 15-18 years, but I was not ready to change this year although it may come in the next year or so. Ather ran a diagnostic and was fairly quick and accurate in his assessment. He did a cleaning of the coils on each side and after he finished the repair, the air coming out of the AC vents was cold again. The only draw back is that this repair cost $270 + tax for a service that was 1-3/4 hrs (w/o parts replacement). Ather was also suppose to get back to me with some replacement filter sizes that would fit the space for the electrostatic filters that we have, but he never called back...

When we bought our house in 2011, we needed to change the old carpets and we decided to go with laminate flooring. We bought our laminate at Lumber Liquidator and Alexander's Flooring was one of the approved installer for them. Alexander came and gave us the quote and also made some suggestions on the stairs to use the laminate threads. We were happy with the end results and the quality. We did have an issue with saw dust inside the house as the crew was cutting the laminate, but when we called Alexander to tell him, he ensured that the cleanup was done at the end.

We hired The Candu Group again for our Master Bathroom in the Summer of 2012. They did our other bathroom in 2011 and we were very pleased with Don and his team. This was a complete gut out of the bathroom including some of the drywall which had mold on it. Don made some great suggestions and we had to rearrange the layout a bit, but it turned-out to be very functional and we have been very pleased with our new bathroom. It took a bit longer to complete as that bathroom had a skylight with no shades and it was steaming in the Summer, so it was a bit rough on the guys with the hot Summer that we had. Don was committed to our job and has been very good on returning when we called him for a couple of minor issues. Thanks again Don for the good work and for being easy to work with!

I received 3 quotes for my roofing job, which was for my house and detached garage, and although "Roofs on Homes" was not the lowest, they were fairly priced for the quality of their services. Danny was the best to deal with from the start. He came-in and asked me about my project and what I wanted, then he got a ladder and went up to verify the roof and also checked the sofits. He looked to ensure there was proper ventilation in the attic and even went in the attic to verify. He was thorough and also took the time to explain everything and talk about options. He also clearly explained their business and how they operate, showed their license and certificates, etc... I had one real lowball price and didn't even consider since the guy came to the house looked at my roof from outside (without talking to me first about what I was looking for), then knocked on my door and gave me the price and briefly explained what it was based on. They were using lower quality roofing (from company in class action lawsuits). Roofs on Homes did a great job and a good clean-up at the end. They only deal with CertainTeed roofing products, which from my research have the best reviews out there. There was one minor issue due to some of the existing roof boards needing replacement, which required my skylight to be removed and re-installed. This caused a bit of damages on the ceiling inside and a bit of a mess in the bathroom, but this was not pat of the original scope, so at the end they did a good job with the skylight and roof boards. Also the subcontractor that they used for the eaves and downspouts did a very good job as well. Thanks Danny and your site team! Marc

X-Tiles had a very large selection of tiles from different price range and quality. The staff was able to provide good recommendations and we were pleased with the final selection. The polished porcelain tiles looked like marble, but at a much better price. The selection and price was worth the trip. We will definitelly consider for our next bathroom project!

Joe was very undertsanding or our needs and made very good suggestions as afr as type of paints and services that he was able to provide to esnure a nice paint job at very competitive price. We had a young baby with us and wanted to minimize the fumes so Joe recommended some "Greener" paint w/ very low VOC. Joe did a great job and even came back for a couple of touch-ups. Great quality job; tahnks Joe and your crew! Work was done in May 2011.

They have a nice stock of several different hardwood and laminates that are very well priced. We are happy with the great laminate floor that we purchased. We only had a problem with delivery when they were suppose to deliver us first in the morning; the drivers mixed the deliveries and did another delivery before us, so we had to wait a few hours for the delivery. The rest of the service was very good.

I reviewed Homestars and decided to get quotes from The Candu Group based on their excellent reviews. Don came-in and gave us quotes and from the get-go he gave us a very good feeling and appeared to be very trustful. Our feeling prooved to be right; Don and Shane converetd our old bathroom into a beautiful bathroom that we now enjoy. Don is all about ensuring that the client is happy and satisfied with the work. Quality of the work is very important to him and he makes sure that not only the client is satisfied, but also he makes sure he's happy with his work as well. Don also did some nice railings upstairs and in te basement as well as cleaned-up a clutered closet and installed double sliding doors. All the work was done with quality and Don keeps his word when he says he'll be there at a certain time...he will. What he quoted us is what we paid, except there was a couple of extras which were definitely legitimate and I was surprised how Don was fair on the cost of these extras. Very nice to work with this type of Contractor. A1 relationship with the client! Thanks Don! Strongly recommended. We have more work coming-up and will certainly give Don a call.
