Our house needed new windows. In the basement, the bathroom only had a piece of storm glass keeping the outside from coming in! We got three quotes from different companies. Enter Roland from Ambia. He was extremely patient (we had a lot of questions) and whatever concerns we had he was more than willing to make us feel comfortable about the large purchase we were making. On the installation day, the two gentlemen were efficient, clean, and when I asked to keep one of the old windows for an art project, they had no problem. Long after the sun went down, they were hard at work, finishing up the job. We are ecstatic! We can open our windows. We can close our windows. They let in more light, and keep in the heat. And they look great.

I booked Junk It online, having been very satisfied with their work on a previous occasion. I thought the amount I had was going to be 3/4 of a load, and when the guys arrived, they agreed with my estimate. They got to work right away, and even when I had couple of items to add, it was NO problem. After they were finished, the gentleman informed me that it would be CHEAPER because it was less than they had thought. Do you understand how happy this makes me? I'm paying to haul away garbage- and every cent counts in this economy. My hat is off to you again, Junk It. Keep up the good work!

When we bought our first house, we realized that the whole first floor needed a lot of work just to be livable. It was a flip job gone wrong, and the previous owner made more work for us than if he'd just left it alone. A lot of things needed to be fixed, changed and updated. The Jerry was just the man for the job. He looked at the house, and got back to us promptly with a quote that was reasonable and fair. He had no issue with any of the requests that were made of him- when I suddenly thought up the idea for a skylight to replace the window we'd covered up, it was no problem- I got it, he installed it. He came up with solutions for every roadblock- and there were a bunch. We were able to move in on time, on budget, and the place looks great.

I decided to read HomeStars to find a garbage removal service after a bad experience with another company. It was like night and day! The guys showed up, took a look at what was there, and told me the price up front, including the hourly rate if they took more time. I agreed, and they got to work. They kept at it until the job was done, and when I asked if they could throw in some other stuff I found, it was no problem. They even swept up when they were finished! The bill was clear and concise. They aren't a franchise, so there isn't much incentive to squeeze the customer for every cent. I don't want to spend money on getting rid of junk, but I didn't mind giving JunkIt my business.

Called Got Junk since I saw the company bin on Mike Holmes. Called them up to inquire about drop-off bins. They said they don't use them any more because of costs of garbage. So I went with the option of using the two guys and the 16 yard bin. Was quoted a price for the job for $800, and when we finally looked at the bin (which the driver said was two bin loads and not one) the bill was over 1300 dollars! I signed off on the credit card slip, but still felt like I was being taken advantage of. When I phoned customer service, I asked if they could amend the price at the end of the job. They said no. And now it's my word against the driver. I had a bad vibe when these guys showed up... and my fears were confirmed. I won't be using them again.
