we found out from spotting wasps flying in and out of our roof, just under the tiles. I didn't want to go up to the roof to check it out, but was watching the spot for a while and knew that wasps were traveling in and out of a small crack. We called the company and they came to check it out. Sure enough a wasp hive was building their colony inside our roof. The guy sprayed some white powder into the hole, covered it up with a garbage bag, and promised that would be the end of it. If not, he would come back to fix it for free. He was right, and the wasps never returned.

Our garage door header has been sagging that led to the one piece garage door catching to the header. Whenever we closed the door, it would make a bang when it would close completely. We had over 4 people over trying to fix the problem, and with 4 quotes. We finally found a family friend who came over and said we really need to change the header that went across the top of the door. He bought a 20 feet piece from Northern Building, price was right and the guy working there was really helpful.

We were looking for a small item, an element replacement for our electric stove. Normally when you walk into an appliance store, they expect you to buy a big ticket item, but the sales there was very helpful and found us the item we needed, though a small purchase, but they helped us all the same.

We changed to new windows for the entire house. We found this company through a friend, who said it was very good. A sale's rep came to our house and measured all the windows and gave us a quote. We were satisfied with the quote, and we agreed to the job. But as soon as we did that, the sales rep said he thought he forgot to include one more window, and gave us a new quote, which was of course higher than the first one. And later we found out that he's measurements were off. The window company was good, but that sales person was not.

I bought this as a second fridge for the basement. I took advantage of the BC Hydro dispose your old fridge program. Not only do they take away your old fridge, but also give you $30 for doing so, hoping you would buy a more efficient unit. Sears was also having an energy star program, so I save another $30 by buying one with a energy star rating. The price was right after all the discounts. It was a good deal.
