I bought a home with a leaking basement that was not disclosed at the time of sale. Due to a sewage backup the leaks around the back of the house were exposed. Clarke Basement was referred to me and recommendations were made. Unfortunately the initial crew did not take some key factors into consideration and after having the complete basement rebuilt I had another leak and had to tear up the basement around the parameter of the internal weeping tile system. You can imagine my dismay! I contacted Clarke Basement and Don, the owner, came out and was quickly able to assess the issue. He sent his key guy Fitz in to resolve the problem. I was also convinced to go with the sub pump (originally I chose to use my drain as I had the option), but Fitz was able to put it into layman terms the difference of going with a sub pump vs an internal drainage system, and I purchased the sub pump along with the backup battery system, we know how often we loose power.
We had another major storm and the system worked flawlessly - they installed drainage system for my 2 window wells and the sub pump and the drainage system both worked as designed.
Although I didn't have an initial good experience with the first crew and their assessment, I was extremely pleased that Clarke Basement came back as per their warranty and resolved the problem in a reasonably timely manner. Thank you Don and Fitz for being so supportive and willing to work with me to bring my basement to a dry state for the life of the house. You both as well as your office staff are very professional and I would definitely trust you to do work for me in the future and highly recommend your services. Good contractors are very hard to come by.
