My wife and I are very happy with the final product produced by Kaylie and her team at Custom Closet. With Kaylie's help, we designed organizers for both our bedroom and our basement; they turned out just about exactly as we hoped. Whenever our friends and family come over to our new house for the first time, they always comment on how great the closet systems look. They are both totally integrated into the rooms, look elegant, and are totally functional.

Kaylie was fantastic to work with. When she first showed up at our house, we were taken aback a bit because she is clearly very young. But she knows what she is doing. She is a total pro. Her design skills are top notch and her customer service is fantastic.

The only issues we had with the entire process with Custom Closet had to do with the installation. Though they arrived to install when they said they would and only charged us exactly as we had agreed, their installer was rough around the edges. He had a young, incompetent assistant with him who he was rude to, swore at, and it made us uncomfortable. They were not very considerate of keeping our home clean, didn't clean up sufficiently afterwards, and left the door open unnecessarily on a cold day. Also, on the second day of installation, the installer suggested that our floors were too crooked (ours is an old but recently refinished house) and that the final product wouldn't look good. This was a total surprise to us and given how late in the process we were hearing this, it was totally unacceptable. I called Kaylie and next thing I knew, the owner of the company was at our house, reassuring us that everything would look great. In the end, it did. Our systems are really amazing and gorgeous. If the installer had just focused on the job and treated his assistant better (or brought a competent assistant with him instead of a kid), everything would have been perfect and we would have given a 10/10 instead of a 9. We expressed our concerns and get the sense the company will make the required changes. The crazy thing is that the installer did a fantastic job on the installation. Just needs better 'bedside manner'.

This is a good company. They are honest, hardworking, solid designers who make an excellent product they care about. Their price was WAY less than California Closets for the exact same thing. When we researched before hiring, we compared apples to apples and California Closets was nearly twice the price. When I gave them an opportunity to explain why theirs was so much more, they could not offer a single good reason. Custom Closet is definitely the way to go.

Our wardrobes are high quality and we are confident they add value to our house. Highly recommended.

I needed extra storage in the house and decided to add a wall unit where I could store items such as brooms, ironing board, etc. There was also a washer/dryer that I wanted to include as they were an eyesore. This company came as soon as I contacted them and offered me a detailed plan of the work. The planner was very detailed oriented and was very helpful.

I enjoyed working with Kaylie very much. She worked with a great deal of professionalism and accuracy when measuring the spaces required. More importantly, Kaylie worked with my budget and really listened to my specific needs. Thank you, Kaylie!

We had our custom closet recently installed…. From our first contact with the Shelving Outlet they were 100% professional, quick to return our phone calls and promptly provided us with a free in home estimate. Kaylie came up with a great 3D design that completely met our needs. Our old closet was a complete mess; we now love our walk-in closet which includes a combination of long hangs, short hangs, shelves, shoe racks, drawers, laundry hampers, crown molding and a center island. The installation process was very good and the installers were efficient and friendly. This company really does strive for customer satisfaction. I would highly recommend them to anyone. Our only regret is not having this done sooner.

We recently had Custom Closet Organizers (aka The Shelving Outlet) install two closet systems in our master bedroom as well as a shelving system in our office room. It was a great experience all around.

Elliot came over to the house one evening and worked with us to design functional closets for our small and very oddly and irregularly shaped and small closets in the master bedroom and office. We have an old house (built in 1922) and the closet spaces seem to be more of an afterthought than anything else. Previously there was a lot of wasted space in the closets. But not any more. With Elliot's design (which took into account all our needs, and developed together with our input), the closets completely maximize the space available. My wife now has nearly triple the hanging space than she did previously. Elliot had lots of great ideas and walked us through why they made sense, while graciously explaining why some of our ideas didn't!! After our initial meeting, we continued to work out some of the final details over email, which enabled us to be 100% happy with the final design. In the end, we couldn't be happier with the design.

The install was also excellent. Shawn did a great job install all three closet systems, and was in and out of the house in just a few hours. Despite our old house not having a single wall that is straight and true, the closet systems were very well fitted into their spaces. At a follow up appointment to address a couple of very minor issues, further steps were taken to work around some of the issues resulting from having an older house. The end result is fantastic.

Finally, it was also a pleasure dealing with Carol from the office. She was very helpful, polite, professional and thoughtful (e.g. calling to give us a status update of Shawn's arrival, etc.).

Overall, we are very satisfied by the work done by this company. I would not hesitiate to recommend them.

I am more than pleased with the results. I now have 1/3 hanging space with upper shelf, overhead storage with doors opening up as requested and a vanity shelf with 6 full extension drawers below. I am still unpacking and have found space for all my needs.

I highly recommend Custom Closet Organizers Inc. They were quick and professional. I did a fair amount of comparison shopping and would have paid a lot more for a similar quality closet elsewhere.

I had overlooked putting in a closet organizer for years and when I found finding my clothes a challenge, I looked for a couple of companies to give me quotes. When Kaylie came in , looked around and made suggestions, I found her to be very knowledgeable. She took the time to measure and to draw out by hand what would become a super organized closet. She gave me a lot of shelving for sweaters, shoes, a couple of drawers and many double hanging rods. I am thrilled with my closet now and wonder why it took me so long to do this. I highly recommend Kaylie and her company. They are professional, honest and organized. Thanks for a great job.

These guys were amazing to work with. They took the time to plan a design that made sense for our family's needs. Great communication and top-notch service was very refreshing.

There was no pushy up-selling at any time, in fact, they suggested ideas to save us money. I've already had them back to quote us on more work and my neighbours were also very impressed with the finished product.

We have a great house but our favourite room now is the mudroom!
