Our crabapple tree had died. The company provided an arborist who explianed the details of tree removal including a permit to the city. The request was filed by the arborist to remove the tree in a timely fashion. Communications were immediate through email. The company showed up within one week to remocve the tree. Despite the heat, the men removed the tree efficiently, stayed to clean our yard and street area thoroughly. They were courteous, respectful, and absolutely professional.

Over the years, a locust tree in our front yard had grown over our hydro line, our roof and neighbour's garage. The crew did a great job to trim and shape the tree so we don't expect these to recur in the future. They also did a check-in to make sure we and our neighbour were satisfied with the trimming. Clean up was spotless.

The two fellows from Davey did an excellent job trimming my maple tree and removing one large branch. They worked very hard and did a thorough job and cleaned up everything afterwards. I have used Davey a few times now and have always been very happy with their work.

These arborists are knowledgeable, generous and kind hearted. They had absolutely no affiliation with our elementary school and yet went out of their way to donate time and tree stumps to our school - so that we could setup outdoor learning spaces. Their community spirit is truly amazing and they really took the time to thoughtfully find the wood we needed and cut things down to our needs. This is the type of business I am interested in hiring and engaging.

On a separate occasion they have also been hired by us to help take down unsafe branches from a backyard tree a number of times and were responsive, professional and really helped to keep a lovely tree safe.

We had initially a really bad experience with the crew who left 2 feet stumps of our trees and this resulted in the significant delay with putting our new fence. Luckily the regional manager was very responsive and understanding. He ensured that the job is finished and we appreciated that. However, we were completely emotionally drained by the original crew because they were impossible to get hold of. Definitely better training of the staff is required.

My husband had to call Davey, not once but 3x to initiate their work (quote already received last fall for this year's spring work) Three times they did not follow up and return our call.

We've used them in the past with no issues, but this time? Very poor customer service. And on top of this, I am looking at a Davey truck that's been parked across the street for some time from our house! Very disappointing.

Professional but too pricey for work that was done. One of the staff spend almost 5 hrs on a neighbours tree when all I wanted was a branch taken off that was on my property. Another spent 4hrs trimming a 12 ft cedar hedge and only cut of one ft instead of three ft

Got a quote from their company. After I obtained the certified cheque I contacted Kadyn (sales representative) took me 2 emails and 2 weeks to get a response. Told me I need to sign some forms. I told him he did not send any forms. It’s been a month and no response from them regarding the form and when the process of cutting down the tree will start. Very unprofessional will waste your time. Don’t bother contacting them they don’t want your business.

As a customer, I cannot even give one star. I chose Davey Tree because it was bonded, had worker's comp and seemed like a reputable company. The company began to take the tree down without informing me. It was winter. They took the Ash tree down in a two days; it was a massive tree. I paid in full. It was snowing. When the snow melted, VERY obvious shed had taken a hit from a large limb; damaged beyond repair. Davey tree NEVER cleaned up; HUGE mess. like a bomb had gone off. In the midst, dead flat squirrel, how does that happen? Sections of tree left. Inexcusable. It took a year and a half to replace the damaged shed. The initial suggestion was a metal shed to replace a shed worth thousands. Replacement shed now leaking, it's been over a month since they checked this out, and said would repair.

Had an 8 am appointment, I called at 8:50am and was informed that there was an emergency and workers will come at 10am. I called again at 11:30 and left a message and never received a call back. Workers came at 2:15(Devin and a female) and never apologize for their tardiness but states that they were not aware of 8 am start. Only 1 of the 2 trees was pruned as Devin states that he has an appointment in Lyndsay but could not tell me when the other Tree will do done. To add insult to injury Devin informed me that he does not appreciate my tone when I was asking him general questions and to take it up with his boss. First impressions are a lasting impression and this is my first and last time dealing with Davey Tree.
