Fyfe's Roofing

After they helped with last year's siding replacement (see my previous review) I called Fyfe's again, this time to fix my window boxes. They were originally built such that they collected water and the wood was rotting.

Mike's team gave a good quote, worked fast and their work had very effective results. AGAIN. They were friendly and helpful and showed personal investment in quality and follow-through. AGAIN. This is why I'll keep hiring these guys for my exterior contract work.

Now, we also asked Mike if he knew anyone who could work on our front step and driveway. Well, he did - it seems that Mike is well connected with local contractors (see my other reviews for my driveway and front step). Mike arranged and coordinated ALL OF THIS, making sure the timing worked out, and that their pricing was fair, and that everyone had a vested interest in the final product. I'm very, very impressed.

After contacting seven different companies for a quote, I ended up choosing Fife's Roofing.
Even though I had no leaks, they had my roof done in less than two weeks and completed in one day.
The area around my house was spotless, not even a single nail could be found.
They also used superior products such as the roof vents.
Over all they went above and beyond the scope of the contract and I would definitely recommend them to anyone.

I searched for a GOOD flat roof company that could also replace the crumbling deck on the roof... had many estimates, none wanted to deal with the deck as well. Coordinating difference contractors is a lot of work. Mike at Fyfes, had the people to do both jobs. It was seamless... deck removed, new flat roof applied, new deck constructed... all within 15 days. He met the best quoted price I had received, I got a better quality roof product than others were offering, and the whole process was stress free. I've had a lot of work done on the house in the past 3 years and most of the experiences with contractors have been nightmares. Mike assured me his company was different... responsible, reliable, accurate and cared about my concerns, and this all proved to be true. There was a small glitch afterwards and they returned to correct it within a week, with NO hassle! I HIGHLY recommend Fyfe's Roofing!

Contacted Fyfe's roofing and a week later they came out and replaced several pieces of plywood and reshingled my roof. They showed up on time completed the job and left no sign they were ever there except for the nice new roof. The roofing crew was very friendly and answered all my questions. Would highly reccommend in fact I will have them back to redo my soffits and eaves. Thanks again.

First I have to tell you that all the companies that do work for us come from listings on HomeStars. We have rated all of them a 10 including Fyfe’s Roofing. We first used Fyfe’s back in 2013 when we had a leak in our roof. As soon as I met Mike, I knew he was an up front, no-nonsense kind of guy. He knows what needs doing and gets it done. Back in 2013 we needed a few shingles replaced and some areas resealed. Mike responded quickly and the roof was fixed within 2 days of my original call. He told us that our roof, for its age, was not in bad shape and we should get a few more years out of it. Well he was right, the next time we called him with another leak was
in October 2015. Mike responded quickly to repair the leak. But this time he advised that although the roof would get us through the winter, it was time to start thinking about replacing it. He gave us a quote for replacing the whole roof and told me to call him in the spring. Once again he was right, we did make it through the winter. Although I knew I would use Fyfe’s Roofing, I always get 3 quotes before I have any work done. Mike was very competitive in his price and I booked to have him replace the roof the 1st week in April. But, the week before that we had heavy rain and another leak. I contacted Mike and he came out again and patched it at no charge. There was a 1 ½ weeks delay do to more snow and rain, but it got done today and I can’t begin to tell you what a great job they did. Mike goes above and beyond when doing a job. He removed an old fireplace chimney that was no longer in use and did a few other things that he felt were needed. He did these things at no extra charge, which is something you don’t see too often. The crew showed up on time and worked efficiently to get the job done in one day. After the job was finished, the crew completely cleaned up after themselves, checking to make sure there were no nails or debris left behind. Our roof looks great. I know this because Mike took picture to show us, being as we are both too old to go up there and see for ourselves. We highly recommend Fyfe’s Roofing to anyone looking for the best of everything from first call to completion of the work, you won’t be disappointed.

I didn't hire Fyfe's for roofing, just repairs. he aluminum facia on the edge of my roof came off in a storm, I needed some cementing work done around the vent flues on my roof, and I needed a LOT of caulking work done on my siding. We agreed on $1900 all in for all of that which I was fine with. Later in the rear the facia came off the rear of the house so I asked him to come out again to replace as well as reinforce the pieces that didn't come off for another $500. For both jobs Fyfe's were easy to reach, came out in good time and got the job done without the annoying delays other companies gave me. I have a big detached garage on a country property that needs the shingles totally replaced in the next couple of years and will hire them again.

We discovered many missing shingles on a section of roof that is hard to see without a ladder and knew we needed our roof replaced ASAP. Mike came to look, providing a quote and timeline that worked for us. We were going away for a wedding in a couple of weeks and wanted it done before we left if possible. He was able to do this for us. The new roof is beautiful and our property was left absolutely spotless...thanks Mike!

It all started with a leak... My mother had used Fyfe's Roofing for her eavestrough and was beyond pleased with the results. We called Mike and he came immediately the next day to inspect the roof. He never pressured us into any purchases. We could have patched our roof, (and that was offered) but we knew the roof would need replacing in a couple of years and decided to replace all shingles and avoid any further leaks and water damage inside. We had also been getting quotes for eavestrough before the roof leak and Mike offered us a quote that was better than other places we had contacted. Though it was summer and obviously fully booked, Mike managed to get a crew together and our roof was done within a few days!
We didn't get our eavestrough done immediately as it was not urgent and due to his other bookings but it was completed yesterday. We also got the siding done (why not, right??), which was finished yesterday.
The whole house looks AMAZING and we couldn't have asked for better service. All his employees were pleasant and worked very hard, they went above and beyond with the little things. One thing we were really happy with - it seem simple - but, they made sure our bell cable line was strung taught and higher up. I told them Bell should hire them, as Bell's own employees did a sub-par job when they installed it.
Overall:
- Mike promptly returns phone calls/texts right from the beginning
- Employees are hard working and know what they are doing, down to the last details
- Our house looks phenomenal (check out the pictures)
- We never felt pressured to do anything at all
