Company went under after and been a nightmare getting energy rebate back

I paid. They cancelled a scheduled audit. No re-schedule. No reply to emails or phone calls. They are not honest people

I initially had Greensaver attend in March 2022 for an initial energy audit before a retrofit of windows and insulation was completed. I have been trying by several phone calls and emails to book the post retrofit assessment. Their message says they will respond within 24 hours yet after 2 weeks I have not received a single response. I don't even know if they are still in business and am trying to find out if I can take their file and go to another company. I even went to the company office in Etobicoke and of course there was no one there. Just a few unattended trucks. I have even contacted the Federal government and am awaiting their response. Totally disappointed with the customer service. The first appointment went well and I am waiting to finish the file for the rebate.

I booked a home assessment with Greensaver (the people at 74 Six Point Road) and they set up a time to visit my home. I paid with credit card over the phone. Two days later, my appointment was cancelled; the cancellation email stated that someone would set up another appointment the following week. After two weeks without a call I tried contacting them several times by email and phone but received no response. Luckily I was able to dispute the credit card charge with my bank and received a refund.

No response to messages, emails or chats. Trying to reach office for over a week now in order to book follow up which was fully paid for upfront in July.

I have been using this company all summer to do some energy efficient upgrades like insulation. They suddenly disappeared and went out of business and have left my attic uninsulated.

We have paid for 30% deposit and have scheduled for attic insulation as well as Blower door guided draft proofing to be done.
However, on the day of the scheduled visit on October 19, the work was cancelled by the company, who just announced an emergency stop work order company wide.
It has been 4 business days and no further details have been given on whether we will be getting refund on our deposit or whether further rescheduling will be done.

At this point, the company has not been reachable through email, phone, or text messages.

We are building a rear addition to our house, our general contractor already had a relationship with Greensaver, and they were contracted to do the sprayfoaming of all the outer walls of the addition.

However, I am very particular about noise insulation for sleeping areas in the house, as I had personally put in all the Rockwool between all the bedrooms and between the floors when we gutted the house the first time. Instead of doing it myself, I decided to hire Greensaver, because they could buy the material cheaper than I can.

The team came in and did the sprayfoam over 2 days, that was a pretty straightforward job. Then the batt team came in the following day. The batt was a bit trickier as some spots between the joists were narrow and hard to get to, but the team did a great job of getting all of those tight spots filled with Rockwool. Both teams were really friendly and attentive to what I wanted done. Thank yous go out to Jay, Salah, and Hakeem for their efficient and hard work.

Great value, responsive sales team, and tidy work. Looking forward to using them on future projects.
