If you try to deal with their team- forget about timely correspondence/ professional dealings- good luck dealing with them. They will make you feel that getting a house from them is like winning a lottery and be happy that they agreed to sell a home to you.
I understand that Calgary market is a little lopsided in terms of demand and supply but market conditions do change with time- unruly and hostile customer service can bring any large company down. Probably they need to refocus and introspect on their customer service and delivery.
The builder claims to run periodic promotions and when you try to put in offer, they would not accept the offer at their promotion terms and will encourage customers to buy without those promotions. I wanted to put an offer in Carrington area, Calgary on Jan8th for a house with their legal basement promotion which was running till Jan 10th. Their Sales team proposed 2 lots for me to choose from & agreed to send a draft contract by the following day. I followed up with a call & an email on Jan 9th but the builder and their office at this point didn't even assist in putting any offer and just verbally refused saying that builder is not approving any offers even at their price.
Received a response on my email only on Jan 13th mentioning that the previous promotion is over. Mattamy is definitely not transparent in their dealings- I found it very strange when I was informed the builder will accept to sell the house (same lot & model) but without the promotional rate of building legal basement at a special price.
WILL NOT RECOMMEND ANYBODY- buy from where your business is appreciated!!!
