We bought a bed from this company, which came recommended. Less than a week after we bought it, we heard a loud crack while sleeping, then another. We jumped off the bed, as it sunk beneath us. The crossbeams had snapped.
We called for repairs. Before they came, the frame popped out. The entire thing was falling apart. We were told they would come between 11am-noon on a Saturday. They didn't show up until 130, when neither of us could be home. So, they left the new beams on the porch, with the screws in the mailbox.
That was enough.
We called for them to take it back, and were promised a full refund would be made once it was returned. Well, they took it back (and the guys who grabbed it laughed at the quality of the stuff -- I'll never forget that). But we're still waiting for the refund.
We were told to talk to this one guy who we called twice. He's never called back. Pat, the owner who promised to refund the money, went on vacation without doing anything. His assistant said there was nothing she could do with him gone. I left a message for him to call when he returned. We're past that date, and still no call.
Now, we may have no choice but to involve a lawyer. This is the first time in my life I've ever complained about a company on the internet, but GH Johnson deserves it.
