I was lucky to have found Darlene the owner of Mister Wood. It is hard to find craftsmen doing in-house wood refinishing which means they are very busy. Darlene and her team do
meticulous work. The process is very time consuming and just stripping, sanding and staining a staircase handrail took 2 days. The quote was very reasonable ( I have paid much more to non specialists for this kind of work). I would gladly use Darlene and her team again.

My wardrobe doors were damaged during a house move. Mr Wood repaired the doors very quickly and they look good as new. An outstanding job. Very helpful and easy to work with.

Our honey-coloured solid oak door and adjacent panels had become weather-worn. The stain had turned from a honey colour to an orange shade, so it was time to fix it. I requested 3 quotes from local vendors and decided that Mister Wood was my preferred choice. They provided good advice and a more creative approach to our colour choice. The work took part of 4 days while they stripped off the old finish, sanded, stained and varnished the door. The door looks fantastic. They brought the equipment that they needed, kept a clean work site and left the site in excellent condition. They work with high- quality products.

We bought a brand new home and the builder wanted $8000 to stain 2 flights of our Oak staircase with the same color as our hardwood floor. After reading reviews on Homestars, we decided to go with Mister Wood to get this done ourselves. Darlene and Jeremey did a fantastic job matching the color to my floors. The work was fantastic and they came back a number of times for touch ups after I paid them. I would recommend them to any of my friends and family.

We had a custom maple staircase installed as part of a new reno and were left to finish on own. First attempt was a failure as maple didn't take stain well so looked online and found this company and were pleased they would travel outside conventional GTA. Darlene, Jeremy, and Gary worked long travels to maximize time here and minimize travel inefficiencies and job turned out wonderfully, despite it's many complexities and having to take steps to right earlier wrongs. Very happy with colour match and finish detail.

We chose Mister Wood from Homestars and they did beautiful work on our unfinished oak stairs. Quite a bit of sanding and care needed to be taken as we had paint splatter and drips from a previous painter who didn't bother to cover the railings. Jeremy came by and picked up a sample of our maple floor and they matched the stain on the stairs wonderfully (I hear this can be tricky when dealing with different wood species). We're so pleased as the stairs are the first thing you see when you enter the house. Darlene & Jeremy are true experts and highly recommended. Thanks so much from Ken and Barbara.

Our nearly 80 year old front door had seriously deteriorated over the last number of years and we were afraid that it could not be saved. But, Darlene and Jeremy did an excellent job restoring it. It now looks better than a new one.

Darlene and her team recently completed work on refinishing an old staircase for us and they did a great job. The whole team was very pleasant and professional. They were detail oriented and the work was great.
