Pier One Imports

I generally enjoy shopping at Pier One. Recently however I was shopping for a large area carpet and was completely put off from ever purchasing a large carpet from Pier One. I saw something I really liked at the Laird Ave/Eglinton store and asked the sales person if I could see it in daylight (it was hung back in the store) so I could see the colours clearly. She refused outright to consider my request and further, when I asked about their returns policy was told I would be charged $70 for delivery of the carpet and a further $70 if I returned it. Since I have a small car I can't transport a 9X12 carpet myself. Buyer beware!

I love Pier one! always has great ideas, colours and decor. I found the perfect frame for my photos from Italy!! When I needed another frame, and they didn't have it, they called around and found me one!

I love Pier One, and I have bought several items there, from cushions to picture frames to lamps. I find it a really nice place to find accents for my home, but I wouldn't buy everything for my home decorating project(s) there because I also find it quite pricey. Having said that, however, I certainly don't mind paying a bit more for the occasional piece of decor that really 'classes up' a room or space - for example, I have a really nice framed mirror in my front hall from Pier One that just makes the whole front hall a lot 'nicer' looking. I also find the staff there very friendly, without being pushy or stuck-up. I have recommended this place to friends, if for nothing more than a place to get great decor ideas (and they usually find one or two things when they go).

i love the quality of the balise bedroom collection. the bed frame is excellent, great support. the carvings in the head and footboard are beatiful. the store i purchased it from, had great service, and i purchased a floor model waredrobe as well. the final price was 75% off original price. a beauty for the price i paid.
