Sunspace Sunrooms

I ordered windows and a door for a new muskoka room. Half of the windows didn't fit, the door was completely the wrong size, it took twice as long to deliver the windows and door, on delivery, I called a number of times to ask that the windows and door be fixed or replaced to no avail. On 2 separate occasions and they sent people to look at the problem and they both said there were problems but no one came to fix the problems and they simply stopped responding to my calls. While I was dealing with them a number of people were fired. I would absolutely not recommend them.

We built a finished gazebo in our backyard that we wanted to make usable year round. We decided on using the Sunspace windows to enclose the gazebo because of the ability to be screen or window. We picked up the windows yesterday and there was excess screen hanging from the windows. (See photos) It is being left up to me to trim them. when I enquired about this, I was told it is the finished product and this was the norm? I have been in construction for 35 years and never have I delivered a window like this.
The hardware supplied for the door was also meant for a wood door - I had to modify to get it to work with the metal door.
The windows themselves are great - the customer service out of the manufacturer in Newcastle is not.

Had a sunroom installed at the cottage. I found it very expensive and the door and screen don't close properly. Sales person did not tell me about the options (e.g tinted windows). And with the first rain it is leaking.

Office personnel at sunspace have zero follow up skills and or ability to resolve a customer inquiry
Accounts payable staff are untrained and unable to resolve basic follow up paid invoices
Sales team follow up and follow through I’d quite unacceptable
The only people at sunspace saving this company are the installation team.
The installers are punctual and professional and make the it a worth while purchase .
The owner is unaware of how the office staff is undermining the company in comparison to the amazing installation team

7 years ago we had a Sunspace sunroom installed atop an existing deck. The sunroom has been a great three season addition for us sheltering us from bugs and inclement weather allowing us to enjoy our ravine lot to it's fullest. We have had no concerns with the product or the installation with the exception of one resent (small) issue. When I contact Sunspace they (Dan Howes) immediately responded and resolved the issue quick and to our full satisfaction. We were very impressed that after 7 years Sunspace was still so keen to ensure that we were satisfied with our purchase. Product is terrific as is the consumer support

After years baking in the hot sun, we decided to look into converting our 300 sq. ft. cedar deck into an enclosed 3 season sunroom. After considerable research, Sunspace Sunrooms in Whitby fit the bill perfectly. Custom fit to our existing deck, the result was a beautiful living space overlooking our backyard that vastly exceeded our expectations. The installer, Dave Bishop, was a true craftsman and took great pride in crafting the room, even suggesting additional touches above and beyond the original plan (at no additional cost) that made the final product even nicer. Sunspace's innovative product line is worth looking into, particularly their unique window systems. Recommend this product and in particular Dave Bishop enthusiastically.
