Two Small Men With Big Hearts Moving Co

I booked a Saturday 9 am appointment with Two Small Men with Big Hearts.
Chuck and Dave arrived exactly on time. They took excellent care of my possessions and alerted me to any existing damage before they moved anything.
It was a two drop move as I had some things to go into storage. They were organized, helped me decide which drop to do first, and accomplished everything on time.
The estimate I was given on how long it would take and how much it would cost was spot on. I didn't pay a cent more than I expected to.
Chuck and Dave were very pleasant to deal with and I would recommend them to anyone who wants a fast and efficient move.

A lot of huge furniture and big boxes to move. The guys were great (Greg, Matt, and Dylan)! All the guys were efficient and quick! Placed our stuff wherever we pleased. No complaints from my end, highly recommend these guys!

Please be warned that if you google this company you may end up at a fraudulent site. We had many problems with our move and are now trying to sort it out with the help of the real company (who were prompt in their reply when we complained).

I was extremely disappointed with the service from this company during my move in May 2012. I was not aware that the move would be subcontracted (and subcontracted again) - granted I did not do my research beforehand. Rather, I thought the name implied a smaller, personal company.

The gentleman that I spoke with on the phone (Glen) seemed very sincere. However, things went wrong from the beginning: the truck didn't arrive on the move day, and after a frantic scramble, one eventually showed up before the end of the day. However, they insisted that they could not deliver the goods to Ottawa the next day - the "truck broke down". I eventually got the delivery several days later, with a large chunk missing from a good treadmill, and irreparable damage to an expensive wool mattress cover (I had provided mattress bags). When I contacted the company, they said to contact the subcontractor, maybe ask them if they know where the missing piece of the treadmill was. When I contacted the subcontractor, they said I had to deal with the company. When I called the company again, they said try my insurance company. Unfortunately, my insurance deductible of $1000 didn't make it practical to pursue that avenue.

Rather than finding a small, personal company that cared, I ended up with one that passes the buck - to everyone except the client. Lesson learned: do your research.
