Missing chair still not delivered

I purchased 6 chairs from Visitor parking in november 2011to be picked up in december. One of the chairs was not the right color, so they kept it and we were told a new chair would be delivered to us asap. It is now 5 months later and i have still not received chair that i paid for in full. And as other customers have indicated, i have had zero service from this store. They have not responded to any of my numerous e-mails, nor have they called back to let me know when i would get chair. I received a few "so sorry" on the phone but still do not have the missing chair that i paid for 5 months ago. I would never shop there again. I want my chair, but at a loss on how to reach them now that they have changed phone numbers. Beware...

DEPLORABLE

Ordered a sofa and some other seating on February 7, 2012, for delivery within 4 weeks. Wee of March 5, called Monday and Wednesday and left messages, with no return call. Called again March 9th, and was told 7-10 days. March 17, called, message indicating that the voicemail box was full. March 18, went into the store and asked if my furniture would be delivered before the 23rd, and if not would like to cancel my order. Without hesitation, after 6 weeks of waiting, the owner indicated he would cancel my order, and that was that. I asked why I had been told it would be delivered in 4 weeks, and why after 5 weeks I was told that it would be delivered in 7-10 days, he offered no explanation. I was and am shocked at the lack of consideration, empathy, attempt to rectify the situation, or even to apologize for the service failure. The sales staff who had been wonderful when making the purchase refused to assist us when we went in to ask about the delivery, and were dismissive.

I would suggest going anywhere else than here, and do not be fooled, as they are moving locations. Dispicable service, horrid standards, complete lack of accountability. Shameful.

Custom Headboard

Terrible experience! We purchased a custom headboard from Visitor Parking less than 6 months ago. The material of the headboard began to yellow. There was no reason for this discoloration on our end so I contacted the store and was asked to email the belligerent Eddie who owns the store and deals with customer service. I sent photos of the damaged area and I was told by the store that he would get back to me by email. A month and a half had gone by and there was still no word from Eddie so I contacted him again by email. He made no effort to appologize for the delays but did say he would contact the factory. After another month and a bit went by, I had to contact him again. The store will not fix the problem and Eddie was trying to blame us for the damage. He was so rude and belligerent. The store came recommended to us by a designer and even though we are redoing our entire home and furnishings we will NEVER enter the store again. I may even make some posters and picket outside!! Please pass along the word that this store is one that should not be recommended to anyway for a whole host of reasons, but mostly the jerk Eddie who is making the profit and screwing over his customers.

Horrible Service - Rude Weekend Staff

Horrible service. Worst customer service. They are all sugary and nice to you when you are purchasing stuff and will take your deposit gladly. Will give you very reasonable delivery times but in actuality they will take twice as long. But the worst thing is how their attitude completely changes after you've paid the deposit down. I bought over $1,000 worth of stuff from Brian and Carolyn in December. I went on a weekend in end April to pick up my stuff and there was this lady in her 40s who is the most rude person I have ever encountered. I asked her if I could return one of the things since it's taken long to get them and I no longer need it, and she asked me to come back on Monday and talk to someone else in a very bugger off sort of way. I told her I'm from the west end and so I can't so she called Carolyn and spoke really rudely about me right in front of me and then hung up saying, "Don't worry I'll handle him!". She then threw a fit, almost yelling at me and even told me, "I don't need this!". I could not understand for the life of me what was her problem, but I simply said, forget I asked, tell me my total so I can pay and leave. At that point she even claimed that I'd already picked up one of the items when I hadn't. It clearly said so on the receipt but she didn't want to admit she was wrong and just wanted to be rude. Finally she got the item from the back. She really turned me off Visitor Parking, which I thought was a good store. In conclusion I'd say don't buy anything from there unless you can walk out with it. Don't order anything even if they say it will be ready the next day. And if you live away from downtown and can't go there on any day other than weekend, don't bother. They have staff working on the weekend who think their time and attention is too important for you.

Home furnishings

Visitor Parking has great products, some of the coolest hard to find super-chic furnishings out there, but be careful of items that need to be ordered. To date we've purchased two couches, several furnishing items (vases, candles, an ottoman, etc) and everything looks great. The only bad experience we had was with our kitchen stools and a large custom mirror. They were originally ordered in August and we were told they would arrive in 3-4 weeks. Long story short, the stools didn't arrive until mid-October and the mirror wasn't ready until November. We called every 2 weeks starting in September and each time we were told that they would be ready in 2 more... had we known it would take so long, we would have purchased our items somewhere else and avoided all of the waiting.

coffee table purchase for our living room

We purchased a coffee table and picked it up on Saturday, started to put the table together on the Sunday and noticed that there was a damaged piece - which is visible. We contacted the store on Monday to inform them about this and they asked us to take a picture of the damaged piece and a picture of the box it came in and e-mail them to the store. Sounds like they don't trust that we received the item damaged but rather we damaged it ourselves. Typically, especially being an expensive item, store would gladly exchange the damaged item without any hassles nor questions.

Sofa

Highly recommended. The owner Paula is very knowledgeable and has a keen sense of fashion. She helped us pick colours and fabrics, even for items that we were not going to purchase from her store. In fact, she went out of her way to tell us where to go to get the appropriate items. We even hired her to do a consultation for us on our new home. Prices are good as well... we have seen the same items elsewhere for much more.
