A litte too quick

The cost was ok and they did it in a quick delay. The work was well done except for one point on which we had a little disagreement. He asked me to bought the handle and he would fixe it. He drill 2 holes in the door, but the handle that I choose only need one. I had to add an extra lock to fill the hole wich is usless since my first handle is a keyless one. He promptly chaged the rest of the bill on my credit card so I could deduct the price of the extra lock or ask him to redo his job.

windows

We recently had the pleasure of dealing with Oliver from Canadian Choice. He arrived promptly the morning after we called for a quote. He is very professional, knowledgeable and proud of his service and product. The quote was so reasonable we decided to have 6 windows replaced instead of 3.When the windows arrived a few weeks later we were amazed at the skill and efficiency of installers. In less than 4 hours they were installed, insulated trimmed and capped with no mess. Excellent quality, Beautiful. Thank you Oliver , we are very satisfied customers!

Double doors.

This company is one of the worst company ever I dealt with or I heard from anyone else. They broke the trust I had on this company & the people including the manager & Boss. They promise so much but when they got the money it would be the end of all the promises.
I hope no one goes through what I have been through. They installed a new door for me & they hided the damage when I noticed I called them. Long story short I still live with this damage door.

whole house windows and doors

We are very happy with this company. The installer gena and his team has done a great job on windows installation. We like the wrought iron door that we chose especially. Will recommend this company to everyone we know for sure. Zhou the sales rep came to make sure the job is done smoothly, we appreciate it.

2 Huge Windows Ordered & Installed

It took forever for our windows to come, maybe because they were a custom size. When they finally came in the installation was quick. However, more quickly we became unsatisfied with our major purchase.
Sure they look pretty, but they are not at all what we had hoped for! We live on a busy intersection and now hear a constant 'whistle' as traffic goes by. You can literally feel the cold coming from the windows but cannot find a specific draft spot, they just suck overall.
We had them installed the ending of the summer and had serious condensation problems come winter. Calling in and dealing with the representatives was a NIGHTMARE. They, without even coming to the house, told us it is our fault. After fighting for them to come just to look at the problem, they continued to tell me it was our problem with humidity. So we were left just being told to wipe them and open them for 5 mins DAILY. wow!
They are very unprofessional and rude on the phone but put on a good show when they show up.
Oh, by the way, they literally cracked within the year... went somewhere else.

2 windows and patio door replacement

Looking for a way to minimize the heat loss on the second floor of our house, we decided to go with Ontario Choice and change our 20-ish year old windows in our own and our 3-year old daughter's bedrooms. We ordered a double-side opening (sliding) window for our room and a single-sided one, opening on the LEFT hand side. I specifically asked the salesman to show me how he indicated that left hand side on his order. He showed me a big arrow and assured me that everything was going to be OK, and once again pointed out how energy-efficient those new windows manifactured in Window City were.
The contracted installers were diligent and professional. They worked quickly and picked up everything left after them. However, it was quite a suprise for me when they put up a right-hand side slide-opening window in our daughter's bedroom. "This is what they ordered for you and we have nothing else in our truck" - they explained to me...
It was also quite surprising after to find out that putting my hand against the window I could feel the heat (or cold) coming from the outside to a stronger degree compared to my old aluminum framed windows. The real shock came on a windy day. Putting my hand alongside the top OR bottom frame I could (and still can) feel a STRONG draft of outside air. It even moves my curtains! I cannot believe that windows manifactured in Canada in 2010 can be that energy-inefficient! I am sorry that we wasted our money and would not recommend Ontario Choice or Window City.

Front and Garage Doors

Very unprofessional and unethical company - and we were dealing with the Owner who got involved once his sales reps dropped the ball a few times.

After ordering the incorrect front door, damaging our interior door trim and tile, the outdoor cement landing, and making a mess of the caulking (even encasing our doorbell), they took 4 months to locate the replacement tile, after we gave them the sku number twice and eventually had to give them a box count and listing of all the Rona's in the GTA that have them.

Then when they came to fix all of the problems, they fixed only the tiles and demanded payment (we didn't even have a window in our door yet!!!). We told them we would pay once the job was complete, so they accused us of making up problems and then charged my credit card without authorization, MORE than what was owed to them, and refused to refund the funds. Even after we showed them in writing the number of times we told them about all the problems, and where they agreed to fix them.

We gave them 3 more opportunities to come to the house to finish the job and refund the funds and would give them their cheque The first time they forgot all equipment, and the other 2 times the owner DIDN'T EVEN BOTHER TO SHOW UP!!!. We had to go to their head office on Steeles Ave, and spent an hour making sure they did it.

AND WE WERE WORKING DIRECTLY WITH THE OWNER AND VICE PRESIDENT!!!! The VP on may occasions agreed how horrible a job it was, until of course the owner was present.

They also think it’s appropriate to use inappropriate language all the time. They made a huge mess in our home every time they did some work and made no effort to clean it. The one time they were asked to move away from the front door while cutting tile as it was making a mess and our guests' asthma was acting up, the VP actually told us off, using inappropriate language.

They also, on many occasions, made an agreement verbally and then refused to make good on their agreements. For example, they agreed to take the incorrect door back and order and install the one we ordered, which would cost $300 and they agreed to absorb that. Once we agreed they emailed us saying it would cost $1800 dollars!!!

The only reason we accepted the door they installed was to get them out of our home to put an end to this mess.

The only thing we liked was the garage door installation - which they subcontracted. No surprise that was the only good part of the job.
