Custom Cooling Solutions No Longer In Business

I found myself with a dead furnace. I contacted Custom Cooling & Heating & received a quote immediately. He was very thorough in explaining the entire process, including the Government Grant rebates. Mr. Thompson came to my home that same day to expedite the install. Custom Cooling & Heating arranged for my energy audit right away & took care of all the details, within 3 working days the entire process was complete. The install crew were very professional, knowledgeable & courteous. They left absolutely no mess behind, you could barely tell they had been here. The energy audit determined I was 53% efficient before the install, I am now at 84%. I am very pleased with my experience & would recommend them to anyone.

Horrible!!!!! Are you kidding? That is how you treat customers? It was a disaster all around. Buyer be warned. I will be telling all my friends to stay away from these guys.

I called Custom Cooling Solutions to repair my furnace over the Christmas holidays. They were great about getting out there the same day which was much appreciated. Jeff, the technician was very knowlegable and friendly. However, over the course of a few weeks they had to come back 6 seperate times to try and fix it.

They claimed that there was multiple issues that they didn't discover until fixing each previous issue. They charged me each time for labour, a "call out charge" and parts. Even though they knew I was disputing the charges they charged my Visa for over $1500!

I started calling the office to discuss the charges with the owner, Heath, on January 8th. I was told I'd be called back. I called 5 times and each time I was promised a call but never received one. Even though I asked for it each time I was not given a cell number for the owner. I was totally stonewalled.

On January 20th I finally got in touch with the owner by fluke. When I told him who I was he immediately started yelling at me on the phone before I could even talk him through my concerns. He would not let me get a word in so I just waited until he had exhausted himself of his tantrum like my toddler does. When he was done I calmly asked if he really felt it was fair to charge me over $1500 and he yelled ABSOLUTELY! I said that he is really not giving me any options here. I need to get this settled so I guess I'll have to take it to small claims and I'll be telling my friends about this horrible experience. He started to yell something else and then cut himself off and hung up on me.

It was absolutely shocking. I was shaking and very upset when I got off the phone. Not only did I feel like I had been completely taken advantage of, I was unable to discuss a solution with anyone at the business for 2 weeks despite constant efforts on my part, then when I did reach the owner to come to a reasonable solution he tried to bully me into compliance.

ok well we talked to the guy at the office found out this was the best option for us. He was very good and we were very satisfied with him. Then the guys came to do the job. well they seemed to be in a hurry and did not do a good job they had to come out 3 more times to fix the banging noise which was from a bolt put on wrong or was not in the right place then in the winter it would freeze up which it was supposed to have a heating element on it so they had to fix that to which also took along time before they fixed the problem now it seems to work fine but I would not use them again or recommend them to anyone.

In our new house my wife did not want central air conditioning. But, having Multiple Sclerosis, I require a cool retreat in summer. Thus, we needed to set up a single room which could be cooled independent of the rest of the house. I checked around but could only find either portable A/C units or window-mounted 'boxes'. These are all hard to use, noisy, and inefficient. Then Custom Cooling provided an answer: an outdoor reversible heat-pump and an indoor air unit, both virtually silent. Pricey, yes, but I couldn't be happier. This type of cooling system is very prevalent in Europe. I recommend it to anyone in North America who needs to cool only a few rooms.

I was very pleased with this company. They came out to give estimate (which one other company that I got a quote from did not). They also did the most thorough estimate. Their installers were on time and walked me through the installation and operating info. The sales rep also went over the gov't grant info, which again not all sales reps did. I had 4 quotes in all and could have gone with a cheaper furnace but with the best sales rep and info and promotional incentives I was able to buy a better quality furnace without paying much more than a lesser furnace. With the gov't grant and sales promotions I saved about @2,000.00 off the original price that is listed above.

They installed a heat pump for our furnace. They were quick and did it right in the middle of a snow storm. We went with them as he really knew a lot about the product. Very good service.
