MR Kitchen was hired by our contractor for our new built home. So we had no choice but to go with MR Kitchen.
They broke our backsplash tile in multiple places while installing our kitchen cabinets. Countertops have cracks in the surface, and are not installed properly there are gaps underneath. Boxes are a difference shade of colour from the cabinet doors. all shelves have chips and knicks along the edges. We added a valance for $800 which ended up just being 5 pieces of plain melamine, which had the same chips and knicks along it as the shelves. the microwave shelf was not secured properly, and completely fell out, almost landing on my child.
Our bathroom, we upgraded to higher countertops. MR kitchen installed the shorter ones originally. had to come back, when they did again delivered a second set of the shorter countertops. Then 3rd times the charm the correct counter top height, but while taking out the shorter counter and cabinets, completed wreaked our walls and trim in our bathroom. treated the removal like a Demo. did not make any repairs for the parts they ruined. Also left their tools on our high gloss floor tiles, leaving many scratches and grooves. Luckily they did take off their shoes when coming into our home.... only to then go outside afterwards back and forth in their sock feet. bringing small rocks from the construction outside onto our tile, scratching things further.
While installers were in our home they continuously told us stories and had many rude comments towards our contractor, and their job in general. very unprofessional.

This was a project that lasted approximately 8 months from the day I randomly walk through their office in Orleans to the day the kitchen work was completed, working with a third-party affiliated contractor.

Working with the designer (Earl) has been a positive experience. He was creative and proposed a few good plans or ideas to start with. The preferred one was further developed, with patience and informed guidance. The custom-made cabinets were ready on time as per the contract. However, the contractual date was adjusted several times before signing the final plans. I experienced an issue with the installation of one of the countertop, but they took good care of fixing it quickly.

Im really satisfied with the end result: the design is excellent and the quality of the product meets my expectations. No issue experienced after 6 months so far. All friends and family love it!

Many hiccups were encountered, many different teams involved and they have very little communication amongst themselves.

Been two months and I still don't have a clear answer of when I will have cabinet doors/drawer faces .

Designer was good and I believe I will be happy with the final result, just frustrating to be left in the dark.

Terrible quality of work. I would stay far away from this company if I were you and hire another one with a better track record. The company incorrectly installed the cabinets and made multiple mistakes when measuring and ordering them. As a result, we were left for 2 months without countertops waiting for them to come back with the proper sized cabinets. On roughly 10 different occasions, they scheduled a time to come by and install new cabinets or fix deficiencies and did not show up. In the end after 6 months of back and forth we were left with one cabinet that doesn't even open properly. I strongly recommend avoiding these guys.

Everyone in the company was friendly and professional to work with!
They delivered a quality product in a timely fashion. I would recommend
MR Kitchens to anyone looking to do a renovation.

We worked with MR Kitchens for a large scale kitchen/bathroom/main floor Reno in Spring 2019.

The renovation cost us $75-80K. It's been 4 months since the projected closing date for the reno and there is outstanding work to be completed that they clearly have no intention of completing. They have stopped returning our phone calls or emails. There is no schedule for the rest of the work to be done.

A summary of the issues we've had:
-tile was unevenly installed; broken/chipped tiles were installed; grout was incomplete and we had to hire someone else afterwards to clean the tile, redo the grout, remove the hardened mortar globs, and to fix the mistakes
-we had to pay an outside contractor to finish painting/drywall patching work MR Kitchens had agreed to
-hardwood was installed with more 8 noticeably broken/split/chipped boards; some are in the middle of the floor
-there is literally still a hole in our wall in the kitchen that has not been filled; caulking around cupboards/cabinets had to be completed by a painter we hired separately
-promised elements, such as a cabinet front over the hood fan, toe moldings around the cabinets, and the replacement of chipped doors have yet to be completed
-some items of our kitchen were installed without prior approval or discussion (i.e. installers showed up, installed items unannounced and without our consent; the installers were unprofessional and made family members uncomfortable)
-subcontractors appear to be inexperienced and overcommitted with other projects (work kept happening on the weekends instead of on weekdays)

If we could go back in time, we would never work with MR Kitchens. The work is sloppy, the communication/scheduling is really weak, and the follow through is appalling. They do not fix their mistakes or finish their projects. Find a better company to do your reno.

We were building a home in west Ottawa, and the builder was using MR Kitchens for all of their new construction homes. Our initial experience was with Earl in the Orleans showroom, and that was generally a very positive experience. Earl took what we liked and turned it into something we love.

However, the post installation service has been horrific. HORRIFIC. We are missing 3 doors - one in our kitchen and two in our butler's pantry. We also have one door that is the wrong colour completely in our master bathroom. We are also missing a toekick in the kitchen. 3 times we have taken days off of work for MR Kitchens to come and do the post construction service. Twice they simply didn't show up - no call, no email, no apology. And once they came, but they didn't bring any of the doors that were missing and they didn't bring the missing toekick. They brought one door to replace in the master bathroom, but again it was the wrong colour.
I email MR Kitchens and get absolutely no response. There is no phone number to contact the service department.

I would absolutely never ever recommend MR Kitchens to anyone purely because of their post build service. Atrocious.

There are three chapters to this story. The first part was dealing with our designer Laureen who was attentive to our needs and presented a fantastic kitchen design. She walked us through the process of choosing colors, hardware and all aspects of the kitchen we wanted. We have recommended her to friends and will continue to do so. I would rate her a 5 out of 5. The next phase was the installer of the kitchen, Ben. He worked patiently and the kitchen was exactly as designed and looks awesome. The final part of the story is the disappointing and frustrating part, which is the after installation service. Trying to get minor repairs
and finishes completed has been ongoing for almost a year (since Sept. 2018). The most recent visit for the service department was to replace a cupboard door that does not match the other doors. Had to escalate to
another manager to get this resolved.

MR kitchens and Olistin did our renovation of kitchen, 1.5 bathrooms, all of the flooring , moving walls, and they were excellent to deal with from start to finish. Communication is key and they were fantastic. We worked with Earl and Jean-Michel. Design, project management and delivery of the work was great and a fair price too. I highly recommend them and am using the company again for another renovation. This time we have been working with Sandra, Nathan and Jean-Michel and all again are fantastic. When you look at the pre reno and post reno of the kitchen you wouldn't believe it's the same house, but it is! 1 year later and we are very pleased with the work that was done.
