My project was not large, but I received one hundred percent attention to detail. Excellent modifications were suggested that saved money and made the project better. The measurements taken were accurate, and the manufacture and installation first class. All dealings with the personnel were friendly and professional. I would not hesitate to recommend their services to anyone.

There is something to be said about companies these days that only do one thing but do it extremely well. This is the case with Dufferin Iron and Railings as when it comes to wrought iron, they are truly masters of their craft. I am the type of guy that tends to do a lot of research and ask a lot of questions so this was no different when we needed railings for our new flagstone covered porch and steps. I probably drove Dennis crazy with all my questions but he patiently answered all of them and explained the different processes used in the industry eg galvanizing, powder coating vs painted and based on decades of experience, he explained why their company did things the way they do. He was very honest and after seeing the finished product of our installed railings with a custom design, I was not disappointed in my choice to go with them as I had spoken with and received quotes from multiple companies. Their pricing was highly competitive as well. I was given a realistic timeline and the job was completely within the range given and they showed up exactly on time when they scheduled the installation, which unfortunately has not been my experience with many other contractors I have used. The finished product is beautiful. Thank you Dufferin Iron and Railings! I will be very quick to recommend your company to my friends, family and neighbours as many people have commented on how great the railings look.

They were very easy to deal with and delivered on time and budget with excellent quality. By far the best contractor we have had in the 25 years we've had this house! Every aspect of this project was well handled from the design support, quote, sizing and installation.

We asked for a few unusual things - a curved handle-rail with fancy ornamental elements, white paint, etc., all of which were listened to, refined (and improved) and delivered.

At no time did we feel pressured to make a decision.

Overall a great experience.

We are very happy with our new stair railing. While I originally specified a straight railing- Oliver suggested a curve railing would look better based on the structure of our stairs. And he was right. The railing looks great and blends well with the front steps and porch.

I love my iron railings installed last fall. Quick professional install and when there was some confusion over the order the job supervisor totally made it right and took a lot of stress of me. I am so glad I didn't go pre-fab. The custom rails have added so much to the curb appeal.

*Update: after posting this review we got a call from the company and a few weeks later the iron fence, railing and gate was installed.*

In August 2015 we got a quote for a railing and fence. We gave the go-ahead for the project, then in good faith mailed a $1,000 deposit cheque so the custom iron work could be ordered. The rest of the money was to be paid upon completion. Dufferin iron cashed our check November 6. It is now March 2016 and after repeated calls to Oliver on the status of our job we find our calls not returned, Oliver repeatedly answering and saying he'll call back in 10 minutes with the status of the job and then never calling back. We have never been in this position before but are now looking into getting a lawyer to get our money back as its apparent this job is bogus. Beware this company.

Dufferin Iron absoloutly went above and beyond our expectaions with quality and service of install. I would strongly recommend Dufferin Iron to friends and family. Dennis followed up prior to the install and after the install as well as extending service on his workmanship if any service is needed in the future.
