We purchased a new stove type fire place from Steve, we had some issues at first however steve made a commitment to follow through to trouble shoot this issue it turns out that our flu was not functioning right and steve true to his word along with his team fixed this issue to which we are very great full for.

We knew we wanted to replace the wood fireplace in our house but hadn't really made any serious effort towards it until meeting Steve, the owner of AWFL, at a trade show in Fort McMurray. Steve is very knowledgeable about his product and presents himself and his business well. He is extremely consistent with what he says and what is stated on paper, i.e. no going back on his word, and he is very flexible to deal with. When Steve and his crew came to do the installation I had very specific needs for framing above the fireplace and wanted the old chimney removed, so he just told his guys to follow my instructions.
The crew of Dylan and Tyler are competent installers and work very efficiently. They were very mindful of maintaining the cleanliness of the house throughout the removal and installation. Dylan, in particular, was excellent with figuring out and installing the framing with great degree of accuracy.
In the end, we believe we couldn't have picked a better company to deliver a superbly installed gas fireplace, even if we had shopped around like we usually do. We highly recommend them.

Wether you are a homeowner or a business that is looking to hire the services of a "quality" fireplace contractor, we would highly recommend Steve and "Alberta wholesale fireplaces. Steve and his team Dylan continue to go out of there way in order to satisfy the customer. We are very selective with whom we recommend on our "preferred" list. This is the second time we used them, mainly because what they say they will do is completed on time and to a high standard. It's hard to find quality and value these days, and they definitely provided me with both.

This is the 2nd job Alberta Fireplaces has completed for us. We were more than satisfied with the 1st one and now we are equally satisfied with this job. We came in early last week and salesperson Jody helped us immediately in a very professional way. He promised installation date for Friday and he complied. The installers, Dylan and Tyler completed the installation. We are seniors; they were very courteous and always kept asking us if we had any questions. They were very neat about their work and had everything perfectly cleaned before they left. Also we were shown how to operate the remote for the stove. Excellent Service and I would recomend this company very highly.

Alberta Wholesale fireplaces were great to deal with, very quick to quote and install, good pricing. Don't go anywhere else! Installer was very careful and kept the work site nice and clean which is a big plus on my book.

We had a previously installed gas insert that never ran well and in fact set off the CO detectors one evening. Steve came to the house and we agreed on a complete new system now properly installed and vented correctly (he found horrible workmanship behind the original insert that in fact was a fire hazard). Steve's crew was on time, efficient and clean. They did the install on one of the coldest (-40C) days of the year and completed it with no issues. While not a local company to us I would certainly recommend his work to anyone in Fort McMurray especially those rebuilding now after our fire.

We purchased a stand alone fire place from the folks at Alberta Wholesale Fireplaces about 6 years ago. Recently we had a problem with the remote starter, so we called the store and the helpful people there tried walking us through the "paring" setup with out success. We stopped in at the store on a Saturday morning with the remote in hand. The store opens up at 10:00 but the owner arrived at 9:50, opened the door and before he even took off his coat, was addressing my concerns. He checked the remote and determined that it had become defective and told me I would need a new one. The he went to the back of the store to see if he had another, I went out to my vehicle and got my credit card to pay for the new unit. When I returned to the counter, the owner (sorry I forget his name) returned from his search with a white box in his hand. He handed the box to me with a big smile and said "Merry Christmas". We wanted to replace our wood burning fireplace with gas. We spoke to Steve at the homeshow and made an appointment for him to give us a quote. Steve was upfront, honest and completely professional so we went ahead with the work. We had zero concerns, the work was done by professional and courteous installers. They used appropriate coverings and completely cleaned up upon completion. As an added bonus, the installer informed us that he had a stone work company who we hired to lay the slate at a later date. We are completely happy with our finished product and would happily refer Alberta Wholesale Fireplaces and Hammil Contracting to anyone wanting a new fireplace.

It was time to modernize the fireplace in our family room. I met Steve at the Renovation show and talked with him at length about what I needed and the cost. I dropped into the shop and picked out the system I wanted and two weeks later the installers were in our home putting in the new fireplace. Dylan and Tyler were excellent, very professional; answering questions, upgrading the chimney and box and bringing the entire system upto code - even fixing some deficiencies from the original fireplace installation. We were very pleased with every aspect from contact to cleanup. Thank you.
