We had James Coey and his crew install Oak wooden Steps to our basement and also dress up an unsitely metal post in our basement with nice Oak to match the stairs. The job went well and we are very pleased and now enjoy our basement renovation as well . Thank You James

After months of researching staircase renovators in the Greater Toronto Area, I came across Coey Stairs (James Coey). I was invited to visit his facility to understand his staircase renovation process and the type of work they do. I was very impressed. From the get-go Coey was professional, explained everything, laid out the costs clearly. Payments for the work was done in instalments which was completely understandable and fair. There were no worries at my end. When the work was done, it was exceptional! I am so glad I used Coey stairs for our renovation. Had I used some of the other companies I was considering I would likely have had a nightmare. If anyone is looking to redo / update their staircase, use Coey Stairs. You will not be disappointed. They know what they are doing and they do a fantastic job. Based on my experience, I highly recommend them.

We had a nose piece installed as part of Hardwood Flooring. That piece was fine and the cost was buried in the quote of the total Hardwood work. But three things we were not happy with; (1) Coey Stairs showed up at the house for measurements without an appointment ... which would have been okay if had it been our house, but the house belonged to the seller for another 2 weeks and we were embarassed when the seller told us the story, (2) when the work was done, Coey Stairs we very difficult and inflexible with painters in the house the same day, (3) we got a quote for stairs re-finish and the whole 'attitude' was apparent ... it helped us make the decision not to use Coey Stairs and probably saved us $1000 in the end.
