As others have shared, Luis demands a significant deposit prior to starting the job, and then takes long to come back to do the job. In our case it took him a month to come back after many calls and text messages - this caused our reno to be delayed unessesarily. The job was done by young kids that left a terrible job behind. After bringing this to Luis's attention he became hostile and refused to come back to repair his job, after being paid. Crooked spindles, rough cuts on the wood, and no attention to detail whatsoever, wobbly railing. We had to get a professional to come repair his job.

Do not pay him any deposit or any money until the job is properly done, or you will regret it!

We hired Luis to covert our carpeted stairs to hardwood.

We paid him a substantial deposit, and to date, only half of the work has been completed. Our stairs have been without a railing - completely unsafe - for the past two months. He has been ignoring our calls, texts, etc. He promises to come, and never actually shows up. DO NOT TRUST AZORES STAIRS! They will not do the job they promise to do - we now have to hire another company to finish his job, and pay a premium on top of the deposit he is holding.

He is not honest - please hire someone else.

Stay away.... Luis the owner of Acores stairs seemed like he was very honest and professional and he let me down badly.leaving the steps half inch out of level .the steps do not match when you put an 8" level on top . Came with his young kids to do the installation and kept yelling and screaming at them.i paid all before seeing the finish product and it was a disaster. After contacting him to come fix his mess he would avoid answering the phone or reply to texts.

Please please don't call this company to build your stairs. After taking your work he won't take your calls. He works when he wants to. He abondened my project halfway - he said he will do it tomorrow morning - the next day - the next afternoon
- that next day or next Monday will never come
His workman ship is horrible
Absolutely horrible. Don't ever trust this guy. Somebody has to tell him to close down his shop and leave.

Very happy with there work whit the stairs and takings done in my house did not have a problem if I had to do stairs again I wood hire them and very good prices

Hired them to replace my stairs and was very disappointed. Took months to complete. Tried calling many times either he didn't answer or mailbox was full. Promised on several occasions that they were coming and never showed up. When they did come they brought mismatched spindles, which delayed the job even further and delayed the reno.

Possibly the worst most unreliable stair company in Toronto. Never finished the work after months of empty promises, asks for deposit upfront, does not comply with delivery dates and workmanship is very poor.

Great service honest price and great workmanship. They were very accommodating to changes and request. Neat and tidy and worked around my schedule. Thank you very much Azores Stairs for the quality and service

NEVER HIRE! Sloppy workmanship. They come when they want. And my railing is infected with post hole beetles! BEWARE! Completely disgusted with attendance and quality. No pride or love for what they do. My stairs squeak. Pickets are crooked. Posts don't line up. I called Louis to fix the issues. He only fixes what he wanted. And now I have a insect boring holes in my wood and spreading. Louis is postponing me and delaying the removal of this infected product. I have had insect contractors come in and I have reports saying the beetles came with the wood. And Louis could t care less about the urgency of the situation. I may take legal action. Bad choice on my end!

Great work done by Azores stairs, however very poor work ethic and organization. Never a set schedule with this company, comes when they want to. Wouldn't recommend the company I anyone, contact a stairs company that is true to their word.
