We moved into an older house so we hired Hatton's to stain and refinish the 50 year old hardwood floors. We were referred to them from a friend who used Hatton's a year prior. From the minute we met Cal (Owner) we knew we made the right choice. When our project started, his crew was punctual, courteous and did a great job. We are completely satisfied with the work they did and the results. When we have people over they ask if we installed new hardwood and we tell them that it is the same hardwood that was installed when the house was built in the 60's. They cannot believe how great and modern it looks (ebony stain).

If you are looking to having your floors refinished make sure that the company you choose has in fact, the dustless sanders. Most companies say they are dustless but don't have the right equipment. Hatton's came in with a 300 lbs. sander and hand sanders that hooked up to a vacuum system that kept the dust to virtually none. We did not have to wipe any dust around the house after they finished because their system is "dustless". I have heard other people who have used other flooring companies needing to hire a professional furnace cleaning company after they were finished because their furnace ducts were full of dust.

I have used Hatton's Hardwood Flooring twice since early 2011 on large hardwood flooring renovations in 2 different homes. Cal Hatton owns this small company and is unequalled in his professionalism in this industry. He always shows up when he says he will and works long, hard hours until the job is done. The final results are completed in a timely, reasonable period and are better than any perfectionist could ask for. His promise of a dust free sanding job is the real thing. Our work experiences with Cal have been exactly as top notch as Windsor Plywood described. Cal faces any tricky part of the project with calm confidence, capability and tenacity until he has installed the ideal solution. Hatton's Hardwood Floors did a beautiful job refinishing my maple hardwood floors. After 2 kids and multiple pets the floors had really taken a beating over the years. Now they look new again! IQ Homes has been dealing with Cal of Hatton's Hardwood Floors for a couple of years now and finally had a forum that will allow me to state how pleased we are using him and his team. Cal met me at site and did an accurate measurement of the flooring that needed to be rejuvenated (restored) and also the new hardwood to be installed. He stated he would arrive on Monday explained the repair process in detail and advised me that some of the finishing products may have an odour that may seem strong. He assured us that the odours will subside rapidly and we will be able to be in the home in the early evening after a late afternoon application. Hatton Harwood refinished the hardwood in our 17 year old home in late March 2013. We are very pleased with Cal's on time, budget and dust free service. He was exceptional in guiding us through the process of learning about the work, picking a stain color as well as how to care for the refinished hardwood. We are delighted with the beautiful finished hardwood color and grain.

We used Hatton's last year to refinish our 11 yr old hardwood floors, and then 1 yr later asked them to do an extension throughout our main floor and up the stairs. They did an awesome job matching our existing grade of hardwood to the new installation, so good that it looks like an original installation. No surprises and within the original quote. They actually finished a few days earlier than estimated even though they had to deal with 2 freak Calgary snowstorms. Thanks Cal!!
