Ideal Insulation & Roofing

I had an insurance claim and wanted a professional opinion about the damage that was done. I initially talked to them and I was connected to someone right away and he had someone out within a week to check the damages. He gave me all the options and walked me through the whole process. Once decided on the colour and product the roofing guys showed up 2 weeks earlier than expected and within a day and a half were all done replacing the roof. They were efficient and cleaned up after themselves very well even getting the garbage out of the trees. Then to follow up I had another guy out to inspect the repair and new roof. It was a fabulous experience from start to finish. I totally recommend Ideal Insulation and Roofing.

I recently purchased my property and was looking to upgrade my attic insulation. I contacted a few different places, but Ideal Insulation was priced right, and the most professional out of the all companies I dealt with. Initially dealt with Mike to set up my quote appointment, and he was super communicative, and asked all the right questions in what work I was wanting done. Greg came out and did my quote, and he was super knowledgable and fantastic to work with. Greg didn't try to push any additional services on me, and answered honestly when it came to all the questions and additional service inquiries I had. Ended up having Ideal complete my attic insulation upgrade to R60 (from R22), and had two bathroom vent hoses upgraded. The work was completed in a timely manner, and they left the home spotless when they were done. On top of all this they were able to save me some money by telling me about the Federal Greener Home Grant which included rebates for Insulation upgrades. Will be using Ideal again in the future for any additional insulation work, and will be reaching out when the time comes to redo my roof.

Requested a quote for placement of additional insulation in attic space. Ideal sent over two people to review the job requirements, discussed how the work was to be carried out and what I had to do to prepare for the work.

I received the quote and corporate references for review. Following my approval of the price, the date for the execution was scheduled.

Workers arrived on time prepared the site and carried out the work carefully and quickly. I was very pleased, no damage to the ceilings and very little mess, which was then the work site was cleaned up.

We are upgrading our home to make it more energy efficient and one improvement we noticed almost immediately was replacing the old wood chip and fibreglass Batten attic insulation with An R60 blown in product. Excellent quality material and workmanship was refreshing to find.

Carlos and his team came to install new attic insulation and a bathroom vent through our roofing.

Dave and Rick did a great job. Both friendly, professional, and took great care of our home by adding drop sheets to protect the work area.

Ideal was recommended to me through a friend and I now appreciate why. After first contacting the general line (during covid) I was responded to promptly. Greg conducted a (safe) in-person inspection and talked through several options that were best for us (which, in fact, wasn't the most expensive option). Although we didn't end up executing the project until months later, Ideal also worked with us on the price despite cost increases in the industry.
The work itself was very well executed - vacuuming out the original wood chips, repairing the vapour barrier where needed, and blowing in new insulation. Despite still working from home, there was relatively little disruption to our day and we started noticing the benefits of the new insulation immediately.
We are very happy with the work that was done and would recommend Ideal to any of our family or friends!

I had purchased an older home and there was insufficient insulation in the attic. The house got hot in the summer after the sun went down and the air conditioner ran continuously some nights. I researched insulation companies to do an attic insulation top-up and chose Ideal Insulation. They have a long history in the industry and I was not disappointed. Greg came over and surveyed the attic and noticed that our kitchen fan exhaust ducting seemed to have a gap to the roof which his crew could fix by caulking it. They would include this as part of the work that they were doing. When the crew arrived they noticed that there was a more serious issue and I should have the ducting repaired. I appreciated Ideal's professionalism in noting problems outside of just the insulation work that they were doing and had the ducting looked at. The attic insulation was topped up after I had the ducting repaired and we have noticed that it no longer gets as hot in the house. The attic insulation top up was definitely worth the investment and I enjoyed working with Ideal Insulation & Roofing on this project.

We had attic rain a couple years ago after a severe cold spell followed by very warm temperatures. It was gone last year but reappeared again this year. Ideal came and provided a competitive quote to fully redo the attic insulation including adding a new spray foam vapour barrier and redo all our bathroom fan vents/hosing. The various crews were extremely professional, ensured they kept our home clean through the process and actually showed up ahead of schedule and finished early!!
