I have very mixed feelings about Valentin's work. On the positive side, he is very professional, replies quickly to inquiries, and is a good guy to deal with. He was on time, worked efficiently, and clearly knew his stuff. Based on the other reviews, I think he runs a comparatively good operation.
There were 2 areas which caused me to reduce my rating. The first is that he did not communicate to me that he had to break the old installed faucet before removing it. He just went ahead and tossed it in the trash once he had broken it. It wasn't a big deal, but I would have liked to have known, since I was unsure about how well the new faucet would perform.
Second, I really feel that $250 for exactly 70 minutes of work is too much. Even adding some generous fees for the housecall, it still is exceptionally high. I regret not shopping around, and not negotiating a rate based on time.
While I did ask what he estimated the cost would be on the phone, and did receive a number in the range of what I've listed with this review, I figured there would be an adjustment if the work was finished sooner. Not so.
While Valentin was efficient and got the job done, I was left feeling gouged on the price and regretting my decision.
