Marcello did an exceptional job on our kitchen renovation. He was on budget and on time but most importantly he proactively kept us informed as to all aspects of the project. Marcello treated our house as he would his own and we returned home each night to a work site that was neat and tidy (despite the construction). He was also very accessible and addressed all of our questions and concerns. No project is without hiccups and Marcello clearly explained this at the beginning of the project. When a problem arose, Marcello quickly addressed and resolved it. It was a pleasure working with him.

Marcello and his team surpassed our expectations. The quality of work was excellent and we really appreciated his "on time and on budget" approach. Marcello's attention to detail was very welcome--he even prevented problems by foreseeing and solving them before they occurred. Now that's service!

Marcello did a fantastic job with our kitchen renovation. His crew was timely and respectful of our property. They were remarkably clean and treated my house better than I treat it. The work was done to a standard that exceeded my requirements. Communication was great through the whole project. From Quote to final bill, Marcello was always available for questions, provided me progress updates, and explained the process when required. I was very particular about certain things and Marcello was receptive to my demands, and was always flexible and reasonable in working out the few minor issues we had. He even referred me to another contractor to replace my windows, and that contractor was fantastic as well. I could not be happier with the work, and would hire Marcello again without a moment’s hesitation.

D'Nalli Homes is the general contractor for my kitchen reno. Marcello and his crew have been exceptional during the whole process. They consistently delivered on time what they promise to do and without hassle. We had a very tight timeline for the reno and Marcello and team stepped up to the challenge. For this renovation project we contacted a few contractors and received quotes in the same ball park figure. We asked Marcello to do this project as he had been recommended to us and because we felt a good rapport from the meeting we had. This was very important as I found communication with Marcello to be very open and clear through the project.

This project commenced on time and was finished ahead of the anticipated completion date. Marcello's team minimized disruptions in the house by ensuring that their work area was always left clean and tidy at the end of each day.

Marcello , Owner of D'Nalli Homes and his team completed a top notch renovation of our ensuite master bathroom over a 4 week period. my goal was to create an open concept , removal of partion walls, bulkhead and shower enclosure. Marcello was very helpful in design ideas, explaining the timelines of the project. identifying potential problems, and obtaining contractor discounts on a variety of materials , glass and bathroom fixtures used in my reno. His team was professional , couteous, clean and tidy during the whole course of the construction. We spoke with the owner Marcello when we were looking at contractors to do a total renovation on a bungalow basement and a new kitchen. We went every day to check on the work and the progress was fast and very clean. His crew were professional and efficient. The designer that works with him is also very efficient. They communicated effectively and coordinated all the materials and the delivery for each stage of the work. Marcello gave us a list of stages and detailed work that was being done. We added a bathroom in the basement so the concrete had to be broken to lay down new pipes. Marcello warned us of a few items that might incur some extra cost because he could not know what was hidden below the basement floor like the addition of a sum pump if required. Once the floor was open he did not see any issues and the work progressed with no changes in the plan. Marcello kept in contact on a daily basis on the progress of the work, something that most other contractors don’t do. After the work was done we had the house appraised and we received a 30% increase in the value of the house. The work was inspected by the building inspector and nothing had to be done with the work, all the codes were adhered to. We recommended him to our friends and they were all very pleased with his professional work ethics.

For this renovation, we ended up with a good final product but it was a stressful process in getting there. Some of the stressful issues we encountered are outlined below:

For this renovation we ended up paying more than expected. Some of the extra charges were planned/expected add-ons to the project; however, other extra charges were billed for tasks that, in our opinion, should have been included in the scope of the project/quote.
The quote provided was written in stages instead of an itemized breakdown which would have been clearer as to the individual tasks and associated costs. As a result, we found the costing associated with the add-on work difficult to understand. This was exacerbated by the fact that we were often not given the price for specific tasks until the task had been completed – leaving us in a poor position to negotiate or dispute the costs.
In terms of timelines, the project took more than double the estimated time. We knew going in that renovations can take longer than planned due to unforeseen circumstances; however, the time estimate was increased even before the work began and extended again shortly after the start of the project. It may have been useful to have the timelines written into the contract.
At the end of the day, the renovation was completed, and we were satisfied with the end product. However, it was the day to day dealings with the lead contractor that we found to be stressful. We would not recommend this contractor.

Marcello and his team of experts work so well together to make sure that the client gets what they want.
