Earth Star Movers

It was the snow storm of the year and we had arranged previously to move from a 3+1 Bedroom Scarborough bungalow to a 2 bedroom apartment in Etobicoke.
Did I mention that it was the storm of the year/last few years?
The men were a little late in getting to us due to the sloppy roads and that would be the story of the day. They arrived about 2 hours late, but with a sense of humour about them. Good thing as we had one as well. We were not sure if the move would be happening that day at all, but they promised to show up and they did. It snowed all day and that caused some slow loading due to the ramp getting snow covered. But they kept going, just like the Energizer bunnies. My wife left earlier to meet the Cable installers for an appointment between 2 and 5 that day. Ya right!
Did I mention that it was the storm of the year/recent years?
We managed to get everything into the truck by around 4 pm and off we went. I started first and could not get an entrance to the 401. I tried at McCowan, Brimley, Kennedy, Warden and I finally found Vic Park open. It seemed that the Snow Plows plugged all the on/off ramps with a snow bank about 4 feet high, so no one could get on. I finally got on and it was smooth sailing as there were very few other cars on the highway as they could not get on either. I figured the truck would be having the same issues as I did, but they told me they finally got on and I met them at the apartment. Unloading the truck was a bit longer than expected for the same reason that loading was. The ramp was slippery! And the elevator was much smaller than I remember.
Everything finally made it into the apartment around 9:00pm which made a very long day.
However, after talking to Linda at the office they knocked an hour off the time due to the weather.
The whole move cost us $800.00! I priced other movers prior to choosing Earth Star Movers and got quoted well over $1,000.00.
I am totally pleased with the service and the company as a whole, and if I ever have to move again - in warmer weather - I will choose Earth Star Movers again. I heartily recommend this company to anyone who wants a professional and competent group of people.
We had absolutely no damage to anything at all even given the weather conditions.

I have to commend the team at Earth Star Movers. We moved from Markham to Mississauga to two locations over 2 days (home and storage). The assistance from Linda and the team Bob, Rick and Mike was extremely helpful. It was a stressful time for both my wife and I however Earth Star made it as easy as possible for us. They were very professional and polite. The guys were amazing in their packing and usage of space, it was like they were world champions tetris players. They all worked very hard and fast. At the end there were no surprises or billing issues. I would certainly recommend and use Earth Star movers again. Thank you again for everything.

You hear horrors stories everyday about shoddy moving companies. But these guys are very nice, professional and trustworthy. They work fast and hard, very happy with service. Would deal with again!

We found a few other moving companies, but we took a chance on Earth Star Movers .... and we could not have been happier! They were a bit late, but they started working as soon as they arrived! My fiance and I were both VERY happy and appreciative of all their hard work and felt like they went above and beyond. The movers were friendly, professional, and we felt like we were in good hands (as well as our stuff). Needless to say, they made a very stressful moving day less stressful!! Linda, the onus is on you. You called and asked me "what time did we say we would be there?" You mean you don't know? The scheduled time was 10.00 am. You asked if you could change the time to Noon. No. The elevator was booked for 1:00 pm. The brothers showed up at 12:30 pm. The truck was far too small to meet the needs of my contents.I have the dinged furniture to prove it. Your company rates a zero from me.

The guys were exceptional!! They were very respectful with my belongings and took great care handling every piece. They arrived on time, were quick, and efficent. I not only would, but will be using them again for my next move. They will also come highly reccomended to anyone else seeking a great moving company. Great experience from the first phone call. Three guys from Earth Star Movers company us move from our house to an apartment building in Oshawa. I just wanted to commend the company on a job well done!!! Very professional, friendly and funny.
