This Lady called wanting her second hand dining room suite picked up from a local apt. bldg. and delivered to her home. However she did not want to pay for a minimum move nor buy any insurance.
We agrred to deliver for a flat small delivery fee.even though it was the end of the month and we were busy.
It was dissassembled and dollied down the hall being closely watched by the bldg. custodian. When the truck arrived at her house she was waiting by the garage and watched the crew unstrap and remove the blankets.
The drawers were removed and carried in the house, the table was re assembled on the carpet and the china cabinet was placed exactly where she wanted it. The crew then picked up the buffet and hutch while she applied a number of felt pads to protect her floors.
THE CREW DID NOT DAMAGE OR MISHANDLE HER FURNITURE IN ANY WAY. Three more members of the household daughter, boyfreind and husband also looked over the furniture after it was set up and complimented her on her purchase. This begs the question of course where were the new damages then? She then thanked the crew for a job well done and sent them on their way.
Since then she has manged to post two "bad" reveiws on Home Stars one being removed due to company complaints, knowing full well we had already agreed to help pay for these so called damages. This furniture was used and compromised to be-gin with. We DO CARE about our customers and try very hard to always be honest anf fair!

moving from a place to another
TO THE AVENGER... FROM THE AVENGEE.
There are two sides to this "fairy tale".
1. You did not book or pay for this move. Your freind the Good Dr. did.
The good Dr. also tipped our movers $90. for a job well done when he finally came on the premises, which made you very angry.
2. There was two men booked to move and pack
this one bedroom plus den. When the movers were almost loaded you informed them there was a second pick up in another apt. building, to leave this job and proceed to next pick up. This took another two hours of haggling over the elevator which was not booked and another two hours of moving furniture up and down the elevator. Meanwhile our drivers were insulted and sworn at continuously by other tenants fighting over the elevator.
3. Then we had to go back to the first pick up address to finish loading.
4. Therefore the elevator at the drop off address was given to someone else.
5. Our movers waited and waited very late trying to talk the building manager in to letting them unload after hours if they were very quiet as we needed this truck for the next morning...to no avail.
6.If in fact the driver was told off by the police, why did the officer not notice the driver had "tossed back a couple" or did he toss back a couple himself? Another fairy-tale.
8. The bill came to $711. including Gst for 12 hours of moving for the first day and three hours the next day and storing your belongings overnight.
9.We instructed our driver to collect before unloading due to the fact The Avenger did not want to pay one cent for this move. In fact he wanted to have everything taken back to the first pick up address and wanted us to pay one more months rent.
10.Being your furniture came right off the truck and straight into storage how could you possibly have pictures of damaged furniture?
11. Our copany offered to move everything back out from storage to your new apart. free but you refused.
Final Chapter....You were every movers worst nightmare and should keep your personal problems to yourself.
We did the very best that we could under these circumstances.
