Backflow Valve And New Drain Pipes
Hello Greg, before we can continue here, it is very important that you respect the facts, and please be careful and not let your emotions get in the way of the truth. Let's clarify the situation : first, you called us because you had a problem with a collapsed clay sewer pipe that was under your porch. When Igor came and checked it with the camera, the decision was mutually made to use trench-less technology in order to repair this burst pipe. With trench-less technology, we dig the hole outside the house, near the property line and beyond the porch, and use a torpedo from basement. The torpedo goes through the existing pipe and channel deep under the porch and creates a space that big enough for the new PVC pipe inside, and even compacts the area around it even more. Such trench-less technology does not harm or compromise the soil around the pipe, and since we did not do any excavation under your porch, our work did not cause your porch to sink. Your case is very similar to sink holes that cause roads to collapse; when a sewer pipe has been broken for a long time, it rinses out the soil around the pipe, thus creating a cavity. The soil under your porch was rinsed out by the ground water to the main sewer line, and this happened long before you called us and has nothing to do with our work. If we did not repair your pipe, that cavity would have become even bigger, which could have even caused the front wall of your house to collapse. We are plumbers, and we fix pipes with minimum disturbance to the landscaping. We are professional, explaining everything about our work and both parties agreed to all aspects of the contract. We are always ready to stand behind our work, but your unfortunate porch collapse was not our responsibility. We greatly resent your accusations of callousness and hardheartedness, for our behaviour was always honest and courteous.
