I have always approached trying to find a roofing repair company with a bit trepidation, so this is why I am now happy I found Mr Roof Repair. Michael was quick to respond to my emails, up front with the rate right from the beginning, and his team showed up when they promised. And just as importantly, I am very pleased with the work they did. They fixed the shingles lost due wind damage, then used the extra time to do a roof tune up with caulking in various places all around the roof. I would definitely recommend them.

For me personally, dealing with this company was like finding the best doctor imaginable for dealing with a medical issue: like feeling you could totally trust the person and their expertise. Water was leaking from the roof into one of our bedroom ceilings. We knew it was probably the roof, and frankly we were more stressed out about being taken for a ride by some contractor, than we were about the repair itself (we've had many lousy experiences over the years). Michael phoned us back within an hour of our initial call, which we made probably around 7 a.m. He sent Pietro on site within a couple of hours, who diagnosed the issue as originally related to animal damage that had been improperly dealt with by the previous homeowner, and which led to a number of other issues causing water to enter via the edge of the roof. Pietro went on to correct several other misdiagnoses that had been made by other contractors previously, by taking the time to rule them out one by one: i.e. chimney leaking, turbine vent leaking, damaged shingles. Like a really expert doc, Pietro went through the options to determine precisely what was going on - it took a lot of expertise, patience, and honesty. He took the time he needed to do it right. I was really impressed by this, and also impressed by his honest, matter-of-fact, thoroughly competent way of researching the problem and explaining it to me, with photos he took, on his phone, of the damage while up on my roof. Pietro didn't just tell me what was wrong, he showed me the evidence with photos, and what he thought would be required to fix the problem. Michael was every bit the consummate professional in explaining exactly how the charges were assessed, which I found transparent and completely fair. Furthermore, he went out of his way to schedule the repairs the next day, so the leak would be fixed in time for some guests I was expecting in the following days. Pietro showed up again precisely on time, and finished the work within a couple of hours, well ahead of schedule. I found the whole process not only fair, honest, and straightforward, but that Michael and Pietro went out of their way to treat me like a real person with a real life and a real issue with my home - a business that is prepared to get involved emotionally with the customer's contingencies, and do what they can to make things work out, is as good as gold in this industry. Because heavy rain was forecast the day after the repair, Pietro even requested that I phone him personally the day after the repair, just to ensure the leak was really fixed, which it was. The work was flawless, punctual, fairly priced, and delivered with an honest, straight-shooting, human touch. Treat these guys with the respect they deserve, and they'll show it back to you ten-fold. A leaking ceiling turned out to have more attached to it than just a faulty skylight, but I had no trouble trusting Mr. Roof Repair to give me the best solution because of their professionalism and clear explanations. When a patch job around a skylight didn't hold while we were waiting for a new one on order, Michael immediately sent Pietro back out to put up tarps and do whatever he could to buy us some time as more rain was in the forecast. If they hadn't responded so promptly we would have been emptying buckets during the next heavy storm. A bathroom fan that was incorrectly vented into the attic was properly vented, a new skylight was installed with the correct waterproofing around it this time, and a crumbling chimney was fixed up and had the proper flashing installed. A good experience. I would highly recommend this company.

After a severe storm on April 21st, we discovered a large water stain in our master bedroom and promptly called Mr. Roof Repair. Upon reading reviews on Homestars, we called the two top-rated roof companies (one of which was Mr. Roof Repair) as well as a 3rd company that was advertised locally. Michael Bergemann from Mr. Roof Repair responded within 2-3 hours of receiving my request, with a very clear email acknowledging my problem, the estimated cost, and timeline for repair. Mr. Roof Repair was the only company to respond with 24 hrs, we did not hear back from the other companies until 2 to 5 days later. Mr. Roof Repair's promptness was far superior to none and truly appreciated, particularly given the storm weather and our intent to take preventative measures immediately to reduce further roof leak.

When Pietro came on site, he explained all the work upfront, went up to the roof, and identified that a chimney cap had blown off. Since he needed to replace the cap and did not have the part on hand (the part was specific to our roof), he promptly made a trip to Home Depot to purchase the part and came back immediately so that we did not have to schedule another time for the repair.

Pietro took pictures of our roof, both before and after the repair, along with several pictures of the flashings, eaves, shingles. This was significant value-add because it allowed us to see the condition of the roof. Although our custom home is only 4 years old, we had experienced problems with the roof, ranging from missing chimney flashing (incomplete work by the builder) to shingles that had blown away. We had called in other roof companies to help fix these, unfortunately with lack lustre results, and this was the first time we had used Mr. Roof Repair. The experience with Mr. Roof Repair greatly exceeded our expectations.

The professionalism and courteousness exhibited by Michael and Pietro was first class, right from the initial communication addressing my problem, answering questions, to the onsite repair. As a director of a large organization who deals with many companies every day, I felt their service was akin to dealing with a professional services firm. After another company had completed work on our roof it became apparent that some of the work was not done to the best standards and that we had not been told about other work that needed to be done.

Mr Roof Repair provided a detailed breakdown of the work and educated us as to why it was important to have it done. They completed the work (which included installation of drip edge, some reshingling, chimney flashing and animal proofing) to a high standard and in a timely manner and responded promptly to numerous questons and feedback.

Our roof leaked in a big storm last Thursday night, and water came through into a bedroom. I called Mr. Roof Repair.ca and they came first thing the next morning and fixed the problem. They did great work, cleaned up after themselves. This is the second time I've used them, and they're great!

After a recent windstorm we lost a few shingles and called MrRooRepair to help us out. Not only did they arrive the next day and do a fabulous job on the roof (and we have the pictures to prove it) they also repaired some other areas where birds had built a nest and provided an overall assessment of our roof... and all in one hour! It was great and I would definitely recommend them to friends, family and even to strangers.

I called because I had some problems with birds nesting and getting into the roof through a little hole that the builder never finished properly. They took care of it quickly and professionally and then showed me where there were other problems on my roof. They quoted an fixed the venting issue that they noticed and put a sealant on any exposed nails on the roof. Real pros and I was happy with the prompt and efficient service.

After getting jerked around by a number of companies, it was Mr Roof Repair that went above and beyond the call of duty and were incredibly honest/transparent at every step of the way. At one point I even rudely took out some of my (misdirected) frustration on them as the water leak we had been trying to fix since June 2011 (and spent more than $15,000 on already) STILL wasn't fixed after their initial installation of the drip edge. Their response? To step up the level of their service and help us even more in the troubleshooting process. Even to the point that after we left the country, they worked with our property manager to go into the house and open up a wall where the leak continued to get in...and found (finally!) the crux of the problem. This had nothing to do with roofing but Michael and his team knew we were really at our wit's end and came in as a favour to get to the bottom of things.

Beyond their trustworthiness and integrity, the quality of their work is impeccable and they back it up with numerous clear photos which really helped ease our minds. They explained each step of the repairs so I would understand not only what they did, but what the difference is between a good repair and a half-arsed repair. (excellent knowledge for the future!)

Booking the appoint was very comfortable, Michael is easy to talk to and easy to understand. I booked and they came the same day. The repair guy was friendly, quick, and he used the time he had to do some caulking for exposed nails and vents that needed it.
