The individual that provided the quote was very friendly & agreed to begin the work within 2 weeks, however the work was not started until a month later. We had to follow up several times for them to come to finish the job. The individual became very rude & was swearing on the phone but the work was finally completed with the exception of the eavestrough which they said they could not complete right away because they were too busy.

Eva, our approximate start dates that are provided to clients are approximates and depend on the type of work as in more specialized copper work or asphalt shingles. Your asphalt shingles project was started within 4 weeks which is a residential roofing reasonable standard for most professional companies in Toronto that have busy schedules due to brand recognition based on quality work. Your negative review of 4 is unwarranted.
The work was completed and was completed continuously contrary to your claims of contacting us to finish. In addition, we had to work around an animal control company that you communicated with which had our crew standing around for hours waiting for them and they didn't come. When I contacted the animal control person he, told me that you had stiffed him on paying him for the initial inspection and that he was not going to do any service work for you and warned us about getting paid for our roofing work. He was the one that upon inspecting for animal control informed you of a 1 foot opening behind your chimney that was a source for a waterfall of rain water and the highly neglected condition of the roof.
Finally, we suggested to remove the chimney that was in the center of your valley and a huge design flaw that was the source of rain water. We suggested moving the hot chimney pipe under the roof and out the side of the brick work. You again managed an HVAC company to do this HVAC work and scheduled them to come on a Friday. They kept telling your husband they are on their way and never showed up at which point our foreman had to move the hot pipe himself at 8:00 pm in the dark performing HVAC work we really did not want to be responsible for doing but, had to to close the roof when there was a 90% chance of rain for the following day. At the end of the job, we billed you $500 for this HVAC work which was very fair considering we saved the dire situation with looming rain and an absent HVAC company. You refused to pay this cost and were rude to our controller even though you were invoiced months after the work was completed due to our backlog. I explained that you would also have to pay the the HVAC company that never showed or perhaps you had no plans to pay them like you did with the animal control company.
I do not understand the reason for the 4 star review. We did the work properly. Your roof is not leaking. We made a suggestion of moving the hot pipe which was something many companies would not suggest and source of major problems. We did the hot pipe move ourselves when the HVAC company did not show late on a Friday night with looming rain. We also lost wages on employees that stood around waiting for the HVAC company and animal control to come and did not charge you for this mismanagement of yours.
Lastly, we gave you an estimate for the separate soffit, eavestrough and fascia work and gave you a realistic schedule that was later then the asphalt shingles work and done by a different crew. You also never confirmed this work and were trying to low ball us on the price. The work was never confirmed so, I do not see the relevance of that in this review.
So, your negative review is unwarranted and unfair. It is spite against a reasonable project start date and about work you never confirmed and which we were within our right to be too busy to do immediately. It would be great if you used this as a review of our work that we actually did.
