Pharaon Development Ltd. No Longer In Bussiness

With all the positive reviews, I did not expect to have problems with Pharaon. However, my taping job is absolutely abysmal. Unfortunately, Yoseph sent a crew of amateurs to tape and mud my basement. Looked OK for a month, until we finished painting and moved all our furniture in. Now there are cracks developing EVERYWHERE, and the tape is literally falling off the walls in several places. They used the wrong mud and a bad taping technique (wet tape in a bucket of slurry). I knew that was the wrong way to do it (I've done more than my share of drywall). I have pulled the tape of for repairs in several places so far, and it's barely sticking to the walls.

As a commercial building designer, my occupation involved work site inspections during the course of construction to evaluate both the quality and evaluate the work completed by contractors for payment approvals.
The concerns of finding a competent general contractor for my home improvement were alleviated for this lesser scope of work than I was used to dealing with in the commercial sector. Our project involved retrofitting a damaged vaulted living room ceiling from a water leak and a drywall crack left from the previous roofing contractor overloading the roof gable. Drywall patching, touch-up spraytex application and painting the ceiling were necessary. The open concept of the vaulted living room volume included common areas of a cathedral entrance, dining room, loft and stairways which needed drywall patching to prepare for an updated paint scheme throughout.
I initially tendered the work myself, then I found Homestars on line. The website provided numerous evaluations from customer feedback which helped me narrow down the selection to Pharaon Development Ltd. A prompt detailed estimate and construction schedule was supplied after a site visit by Yosef. His professional approach was courteous and the quality of work from all the subtrades contributed to an efficient construction experience, (having to live through a construction site renovation).

Yosef is highly skilled as a taper and does exceptional work. I am a contractor and have seen good, bad and in-between taping. I would rate in work in the top 2%. He also communicated well with me and my painters were happy with his job.

Pharaon Development skim-coated the ceiling in my mid-century walk-up apartment and installed a false wall on resilient channels to sound insulate a shared wall in the bedroom. Due to a delay at another job, the work was set back a day but Yosef kept me informed before and throughout the process. The work his team did was excellent and the ceiling looks brand new. Unfortunately, due to the structure and age of the building, some hairline cracks returned, but Yosef came back to fill them free of charge. I'm very happy with the quality of the work and I found Yosef reasonable and accommodating. His team did a great job protecting surfaces and cleaning up as well.

Yosef did a great job of replacing our kitchen ceiling and backsplash after we had pot lights installed. His work is excellent, his attitude is professional. He provided a detailed estimate and arrived promptly at the times he stated he would. He left the project clean and neat at the end of the day.

Pharaon Development recently renovated my one bedroom highrise apartment. The renovations included the kitchen, living room, and bathroom. The work involved demolition, removal of a wall to create a more open space, removal of old crown mouldings, resurfacing the ceiling, correcting hairline cracks in living room walls, rebuilding walls in the bathroom, and painting the entire space. The quality of work, particularly the ceiling work, is outstanding. Working with Yosef Pharaon was a real pleasure. Once we established the scope of work, he provided quotes and timelines. Work started and finished on time and on budget. Yosef is easy to work with, communicates regularly on the progress of the work, and was almost always available when you called or texted him. When not immediately available, he was always quick to return text or voice messages. The tile setter who Yosef recommended and brought into the project also did exceptional work. The end result is a solid A+ for walls, ceiling, and floors. Thanks Yosef!!

I hired Pharaon Developments to drywall the basement with acoustic sound board. They were very professional and most of all, dependable. The work had exceeded my expectations. They were very efficient in installation, taping, mudding and sanding. A good sign of a professional tradesman leaves a clean workplace after they are don. Pharaon Development did just that. I would not hesitate to recommend them for any project.

I hired them to paint my new house's walls and they were fantastic!! They were fast and the walls look amazing!! I would definitely contract this company in the future and highly recommend it to a friend!
