Bathroom Reno, Floor, Shower, Tub, painting, tiling

The work was not guaranteed as specified. Holes in the floor within 6 months. Priest told me he would be back to repair, but then evaded calls and texts from both myself and a family member. He will not respond, to do as promised. We are stuck with a bill to repair the poor workmanship by Priest's company, by having to hire a new contractor. Paint job was terrible as well, painter had to return to fix what wasn't done properly the first time. He left paint on the mirrors, and more. sloppy job.
My senior mother hired and trusted owner of Priest, I became nervous he was not going to fulfill on his warranty, and sure enough! I would not allow him into our home again. Seems now like he's one of those who gives contactors a bad name. It would have cost him maybe a few hundred to fix himself, but once he had my Mom's 10 000 $... he was gone.

Update to previous review.

This is an update to the review of my first floor bathroom renovation by PRIEST Contracting. After 3 years a tile on the bathroom floor cracked and lifted, since then most of the others have done the same thing so two weeks ago we decided to remove the floor tiles and replace them with vinyl plank. The tiles came up really easily and we found that the Lino the tiles were stuck to was coming loose so we pulled up that as well. To our horror the sub floor was saturated, the whole floor, we spent the afternoon shoveling up saturated sawdust from the bathroom. We took out the toilet and found the problem. When we ordered the toilet I told Priest's supplier that the distance from the back wall to the centre of the drain was 11" but a toilet with a 12" rough in was ordered, when the plumber was installing it I said to him it looked to long and he told me he would make it work, his idea of making it work was to leave all the old rusted fittings in place and put in two wax rings so the toilet never really sat correctly over the drain and every time it was flushed it seeped into the floor. Our only saving grace was that the previous home owner had installed the sub floor over the original sub floor which was also covered in linoleum and at this point it has prevented water from seeping down any further. So along with replacing the tiles we also had to replace the sub floor and buy and install a new toilet with a 10" rough in and all new fittings. I wouldn't trust this company or anyone that works for him to renovate a dog house, oh and if he starts telling you about building codes please check with the city first I wish I had, the old bath we had fitted level with the alcove it was in, the one Priest measured and ordered sits two inches back and when I questioned this he told me it was building code that the bath had to be recessed in the alcove not that it was measured incorrectly and he hadn't factored in the old tub surround. Also I questioned why on the first row of the wall tiles that meet the floor they were only 3/4 tile again he said this was how it had to be done by code. When I did phone the city to question this the inspector laughed at me and said there were no such codes.

Disgusting

Most disgusting experience of my life and it’s still going on. My bathroom totally flooded my kitchen and basement when they cut a pipe and left if. Then didn’t want to properly fix it! Had to go through our insurance. This was years ago and still having major problems. Couldn’t even get the receipt from Pete the plumber for fixtures we spent thousands on Warn everyone NOT to use these two companies!!!!!!

Bathroom renovations

We discovered Chad Priest thru a referral. Although he was an "unknown" to us, we quickly found him to be a very knowledgable, honest, dependable professional. He stuck to his timelines and delivered a final product that met our expectations. We recommend Preist Contracting.

Bathroom renovation

I hired Priest to do a bathroom renovation after they were recommended by Pete the Plumber. Chad, the owner, is good to deal with and knows his stuff. Unfortunately, I think I had their worst installer on my project. He was unreliable, left my place a mess each day that he did show up (I was finding and cleaning up grout for months), he left the old toilet in the hallway for two weeks (I had to ask him to remove it), left his tools on my balcony - plugged in no less, didn't take responsibility for leaving my patio door wide open and unlocked (he blamed it on the plumbers - not sure why they would be on my balcony), and the tiling job on the floor was terrible (I had that redone after having Chad in to check it and it still wasn't great). I asked Chad to replace the installer but he didn't, which is unfortunate because up to that point I would have recommended Priest.

Master Bathroom Reno and Potlight Installation on Main Floor

This was our second round of renovations with this company. Chad and his team did fantastic work and didn't stop until it was perfect! It was completed on time or early according to the schedule we were given prior to the work starting. Chad takes great pride in ensuring that his customers are happy and encourages open dialogue through the renovation process. If we ever had an issue, it was as easy as calling him to get it looked after. Walter even took the time to get an end cap stained to an exact match cover where the old tub had been connected to the cabinet. We started with a nonfunctional bathroom and finished with a luxury hotel bathroom. I just can't thank them enough.

Basement Renovation

I will never go anywhere else for a home renovation. I had my full basement finished by Priest Contracting and they did an exceptional job. The bathroom was completed BEAUTIFULLY and I never once had to remind them of my requests. Their professionalism was beyond exceptional and the timeliness was amazing. My renovation was completed a week prior to the original set completion date. I will never recommend anyone else for any renovation. Thank you Priest Contracting for your services!!

Basement Development

After getting several quotes from a few contractors for the development of our 1200sq foot basement we found Priest Contracting via his radio ad. Chad and his team were a pleasure to meet and work with, very insightful, and professional. We felt like we were truly getting the best pricing, and we couldn't be happier with the end results. Our basement looks fantastic, it's exactly how we had envisioned it to be if not better. I highly recommend Priest Contracting if you are looking for renovation work in your home.
