We did our research and decided on Jeff and his team to finish our Basement. Soup to nuts this included flooring, electrical, walls, ceiling, bedroom, workout and family space as well as all the permits required. It was a decision that we were very happy with. Jeff was professional and easy to talk to. He kept us informed throughout the entire process. He kept the project on time and on budget. The end result was a beautiful professionally finished basement, space that my family is now enjoying. I have recommended Thorman Renovations to family and friends. In July 2013 Jeff began work on two bathrooms sized 6x10. We asked him to finish in mid-September because my wife was to deliver early October. He and his employee came to work intermittently and missed appointments, sometimes not working for a week. The project ran through September and was not complete in time for the childbirth. The wrong tub was ordered, for which Jeff cut us a deal. There was a scramble at the end to finish. One month after they left, the ceiling began to leak. Jeff came to repair it, and it was the same story: the job was started and then sat untouched for days. They thought it was the toilet and reseated it. A month after the repair, now in 2014, the ceiling leaked again. Now I could not reach Jeff, despite the "one year warranty." I emailed four times and left four messages at his stated business number. We were writing and calling for a couple months. The problem seemed to go away, but in May 2014 the ceiling developed mold. Finally we called another contractor, and it is going to be an expensive fix. Jeff is a warm and friendly guy, but I wish we had gone with someone who could deliver.

Our basement was flooded one spring and with the help of a cleanup/reno contractor met Jeff. He took over the part of the project for renovating the bathroom. He makes it a point to make sure that his clients understand what needs to be done, he is truthful in what is possible and what is not (our walls were rather crooked!)
Honesty is foremost for us. Each step of the way he made sure that we were informed and agreed on all aspects of the work.
Jeff's work is exemplary and is fantastic with tile patterns! He also has vast knowledge of materials available and is a great resource on where/how to obtain them.
We are extremely pleased and have hired him and his crew for other projects.

I have been working with Jeff for a number of years now from behind the counter at the paint store that I manage. I recently inherited an old store and worked very hard for months to bring it up to standards. The last and most daunting challenge on my list of things to do was the bathroom. It had been neglected for years (intermittent wall tile, lime green paint - inluding ceilings!, commercial washtub sink, worn floor tile). I was working with a limited budget; I spoke with a handful of contractors whose quotes were completely outside my comfort zone. Jeff was the one contractor who appreciated my limitations; we worked together to find cost effective solutions that would also satisfy my design direction.

Jeff and his employee were punctual, pleasant, and productive. They came in on time and on budget and were respectful of the fact that the renovation was taking place during work hours and were conscientous of making as little impact on our clients as possible. The final result is clean, functional, durable, and sophisticated.

We hired Jeff in September to renovate 2 bathrooms in December. We selected him because he was the only contractor who actually wouldn't commit to a price until he saw the bathrooms (Both had very odd layouts). Well we didn't finish until February but that's because we expanded Jeff's project scope to include another powder room, some minor changes to our kitchen and some painting. Now don't get me wrong, our project had its challenges (electrical, products on backorder, weather delays) but I think it's how a home owner and a contractor work together to address the challenges that make for a great outcome. I can't thank Jeff and Scott enough for all the work they did in our home during the worse winter ever. Although we weren't on time, I'm so pleased with the outcome and my new amazing bathrooms were worth the wait. I'm already thinking about some 2015 projects for Jeff and Scott.

Jeff Thorman from Thorman renovations did a fantastic job on our fireplace. He understood what we were looking for, stuck to the schedule and budget, and the final finished product and end result was far better than we expected. We have some more projects in mind for him and I would highly recommend him for your project.

We had leakage around our walk-in shower. The house is only 5 years old. Several contractors said that we had to change the wall tile due to poor installation. Jeff came in and said the same thing, but he also recommended some remedial bracing in the basement. He never looked at it as JUST a tile job he wanted to make sure hat it the job was done professionally and would last more than 5 yrs. We are extremely happy with the job and Jeff.
