We hired Kon-strux in 2016 for a small addition to our kitchen and bedroom, and an added mudroom for our mid-century bungalow. To say it was a horrible experience would be an understatement. We can’t stress strongly enough how dissatisfied we are with our renovation with Kon-strux Developments.
We haven’t posted reviews about our experience yet because we had hoped that eventually they would make it right and fix their mistakes. It's been five years and obviously, that hasn’t happened. We feel it’s important to let people know about our experience so it doesn’t happen to them as well.
The worksite was a mess and even after repeatedly asking them to clean it up, it never was. The roof they built on our house does not match the architectural drawings that were in our contract with them and they have refused to fix it. It looks absolutely ridiculous and has devalued our property. We have experienced multiple floods in our basement due to errors by their team, and have had to evict squirrels living in our attic who had chewed through the roofing rafters due to their improper work.
Also, as a result of a third-party concrete coring company not checking on the other side of the wall before they started drilling, our storage room was sprayed with filthy water. Numerous items got damaged and were taken by one of their employees to a restoration company to have them dried and cleaned. After repeated attempts to get these items back, they have gone missing and no one seems to have a record of them.
