Worry Free Roofing Inc. No Longer In Business

In 2014, Worry-Free Roofing re-shingled our roof and installed 2 new skylights. I am now dealing with two leaky skylights that we need to have repaired or replaced that are still under warranty. We have tried numerous times to contact Worry-Free Roofing for the last several months and have come to find out that they are now called Worry Free Exteriors (same company but changed names). Owner will not reply to emails or phone calls.

I have had serious problems with ice dams over the past few years and was just starting to get a leak in my front hallway. A friend encouraged me to call Worry Free Roofing to come out and take a look and I’m sure glad I did. Serge gave me valuable insight in how the roofing system worked and a heads up that more than likely we would have to replace the roof decking in that area as it felt really soft. Sure enough when the guys removed the shingles the decking was rotten so they replaced it all for me and provided pictures to show their work. Very satisfied with the detail-oriented crew that didn’t cut any corners.

A couple weeks ago I experienced a pretty severe leak in my garage and I called a few roofing companies to come out and take a look immediately. Worry Free Roofing was the only one that would accommodate my urgent request to get the job done right away. The salesman actually went up on the roof to identify the problem and called the owner on my behalf to schedule the job for the next day. Very impressed with their quick turnaround time to help stop any more damage to my house.

From their first contact until the job was completed. This company which has been recommended for years reall did a great job and I would refer anyone I know. Give them a shout.

Roof installed in 2013, and leaked in 2015. It was not properly installed causing damage to living room ceiling, window, walls, floors and basement. Had water problems again this year. Although they admitted that roof had not been properly installed and tried to repair it and also said they would look after damages, I am still living with a leaking roof, damaged living room ceiling, walls, window, floor and basement.

Our house was built in 2003 and was re-roofed by Worry Free Roofing on November 2016. Before re-roofing we had never had a leak. When the spring showers began in late March 2017, we had a
very large poodle of water under the rug in the master bedroom and another one in the basement.
We contacted Worry Free and the sales rep that sold us the service came when he said he would come (on Apr. 10 2017). It's now June 5th. 2017 and every major storm or long rainy days we have brings our "indoor bedroom pool" with them. Worry Free says that we are in their priority list and that they can't do anything when it is raining. We've had some weeks with no rain at all and they still haven't come. It might be that their priority list to fix things they broke is very long. I am not satisfied with their warranty response and I would not recommend them based on how they have responded so far.
Update:
The house leaked again after they had come to inspect the roof and did not find anything wrong. They even asked for a garden hose but the water wasn't enoughto cause a leak. On July 24th. there was another thunderstorm with wind warning and this time the house leaked again. Y reported this to Worry and they said they would send someone to check. August 17th. 2017 and still waiting for them to take action. NOT a good company from what I have seen.

Initial dealings with the company was great. Fast response, fast quote and fast work.

But that's the issue. The fast work.

Workmanship turned out to be a bit sloppy.
When we compare the work done on our roof ( September 2015) vs our neighbors roof done in August 2011, our roof seems to have aged by 5 to 8 years.
Why? Because the nails are not flush to the roof, causing a visual look of shingles lifting.

We had our home re-appraised this year for our mortgage and the appraiser said that a full section of the roof was not done properly.

The courses laid out where the cornice meets the roof are not strait and overlap - meaning they laid 2 sheets on top of the other, side by side

Called the company and they sent an installer to inspect. Installer reviewed and agreed that workmanship was not up to par and it would need to be redone.
Called the owner of the company and was advised that we would have to pay for the work and material, even though the contract was sold with 10 year warranty. The reasoning is that the company was bought by new owner and they had no association to old company. (although they retained all previous contracts of past work done).

Trying to work with owner has not helped resolved the issue and now we will have to pay to redo their bad workmanship.

I seriously question their GAF certification now.

I do not recommend this company and regret trusting them with the job.

We chose Worry Free after receiving 4 other comparable estimates from other GAF Certified roofing contractors including 2 other Master Elite companies. Their quote specified the exact products to be installed by manufacturer including the snow & ice shield, underlay, shingles, flashing, etc. When those products were delivered by their supplier, I discovered that one of them was incorrect, contacted Matt at Worry Free and the mistake was quickly corrected.

The installation crew under foreman, Ron was excellent. All of the crew members appeared to be very experienced, polite and hardworking. We were happy to provide them with cold drinks for which they were very grateful.

Our main house roof and 2 garden sheds were completed within 2 days of starting and would have been finished sooner except for the uncertain weather conditions which Ron monitored closely.

The roofs look great and the workmanship was top notch. Clean-up was very good; although given the layout of our grounds & gardens it was challenging for it to be perfect.

I would recommend Worry Free. I suggest to anyone considering a new roof that you do your homework. Obtain multiple quotes from reputable companies for exactly the same products in order to compare apples to apples, look at their reviews, ask for referrals and follow-up to make sure everything is done according to your agreement in order that any accidental mistake is caught and fixed quickly.

Worry free isn't so worry free. We received a quote in the fall of 2015 for the roof but when they came to start the work this spring, they added $500 to,the quote because of some thing obviously missed by the first guy. Of course there were the hassled of them arriving, unprepared and eventually after 2 false starts they came (unannounced) and did the job. They replaced the roof on the fron of our house but didn't replace the roof on the entry way of,our house which was also in obvious need of repair. You'd think that with three guys there, that someone would have questioned this. When we complained to Matt about this, we found out that the guy doing the original quote had made a mistake and didn't put this in the quote - and now wanted another $500 to do the job! So the company made Nate call us and sort this out. The best they would do was split the difference and make Nate pay out of his pocket- so costing us $750 more then the original inaccurate quote.We will never use this company ever again and will not be giving them any references.. Working with them has been a frustrating experience and far from worry free.
