Academy Ceramic Tile No Longer In Business

Vatzek was wonderful to work with. He is hardworking and very conscientious. I have worked with many contractors over the years who have rushed through their work and Vatzek is not one of them. He is meticulous. I will definitely hire him again.

Vatzek came to my house to assess the project. He took the time to explain in detail to me what he would do, what the potential tricky spots may be, and several options for dealing with those.

He provided a timely quote after the assessment, and a timeline for when the job would be complete. Vatzek did exactly what he said he would do, when he said he would do it, and for exactly the price he quoted. And the work was done professionally and the room looks great. What more can one ask?!

We recently contracted Academy Ceramic Tile in to do our kitchen backsplash. My wife and I are delighted with Vatzek's work. Vatzek is a true craftsman. He was very detailed in his inspection and quote. He took meticulous care in protecting floors, counters and appliances and ensured the wall prep was completed to perfect condition for the job. His work was outstanding and cleanup very thorough. We've had many friends see his finished work and all have been very impressed. We enjoyed having him in our home, the job was done to absolute satisfaction and We would not hesitate to recommend family and friends to bring in Vatzek for any tiling project.

After having some difficulties with a previous tiler, we were so relieved to find Vatzek. He was extremely professional. Even though our fireplace job was a relatively small one that would only take a few days, Vatzek was able to fit us in and treated the job with the same level of care and priority as larger projects. This was important to us since we found that others kept postponing our job when bigger ones came along. When we told Vatzek of our previous experience with that, he made it very clear that it was a matter of ethics and that he honored his commitments. He certainly did--we found him to be very reliable. He was very meticulous in his craftsmanship, and obviously took pride in ensuring the job was done to his high standards. He was so careful about keeping everything tidy even during the demolition stage--I'm not sure that everyone would have that level of care to minimize disruption and dust. We will definitely be calling Academy Ceramic Tile in the future when we are ready to proceed with larger tiling projects--we trust Vatzek wholeheartedly with our home tiling jobs.

Vatzek is probably the most professional, honest, meticulous, and hardest working person I have ever encountered within the trades. He sets tile with the precision and mastery of an artist and I would highly recommend him for your home or business. We are doing a major renovation of our home. We contracted Vatzek to tile both main floor bathrooms in subway tiles with a chair rail. There was quite a lot of tile work including a walk-in shower with a curb he custom built. I can honestly say that the job was perfectly completed. I could not be happier with the finish and quality of his work done. Vatzek also gave us good advice and saved us a lot of money by recommending a better way, based on his expertise. I am so glad we followed his advice because it is obvious that he has a lot of experience and knows what he is doing.

Our next phase is tiling our fireplace and a kitchen backsplash and if Vatzek is busy, we will wait for him. No one puts the personal care that he puts into his work. Renovations are expensive and need the best tradesman you can get. For tile work, that would be Vatzek from Academy Ceramic Tile.

Vatzek was a pleasure to deal with from day 1 of the project to completion. He was extremely professional and personal. Vatzek's attention to detail was impressive and all his work is very precise. He communicated well with all the details even before he began tilling while we were still plumbing the bathroom. He always gave good advice on how we could accomplish tasks and by saving some money at the same time. Vatzek was always very polite and respectful to all our family members.

Vatzek did a beautiful job installing granite and marble floor tiles and subway tile on the walls in our 100+ year old house with its sloping floors and ceilings and uneven walls. He was painstakingly meticulous and careful in his work bringing professionalism and pride of workmanship to each challenge - big or small. He took time to discuss different design approaches with us and always in a respectful and unassuming manner. He was careful and thorough in his original estimate and he held to it even when the job provided challenges that were not apparent at the estimation stage. On top of that, we enjoyed getting to know him a little during the work. We would be disappointed if we couldn't hire Vatzek for any future tile work and we would not hesitate to recommend him to others. You would be lucky if you could line him up to do your tile job!

Vatzek is professional, knowledgeable, thorough, detail and aesthetically oriented, did not rush work to finish early, helpful with suggestions. This is my 6th bathroom renovation, and by far the best tiling work I've seen.

Vatzek was easy to communicate with. He gave us good recommendations to help us choose what we wanted him to do and what we wanted to do on our own. This helped us stay within our budget.
Vatzek was able to give us a timeframe and he stayed within it and did a really good job. He was also very considerate and did the noisy work outside even though it was winter. This was helpful as it allowed our kids to nap, making renos considerably less stressful as I had happy rested kids.
We are very happy with Vatzek's work and would definitely hire him again and recommend him to anyone who needs tile work done.

Had Vatzek install new tile on fireplace base that the painters had broken. Did a perfect job. Covered the floor and built a small tent area over the fireplace to prevent dust from spreading. Leveled the tile with a lazar level and came back the next day to finish grouting. We had to wait a month to get him but it was well worth it.
