2 X4 Design/Build

I have been working with David since 1984. He has worked with my husband and I on many of our houses and hotels, not only here in Canada but in other countries as well. He most recently completed the interior design and remodeling of a condominium for me here in Toronto. Again, to my utmost satisfaction. He is not only creative in his design solutions but trustworthy & reliable. He under promises and over delivers every time.

To whom it may concern;

We have been working with Mr. Thomas now since 1990 on our first custom home on Moon River in the Muskoka's. There where many access and site challenges he overcame and the design was beyond what we expected. His design and detail ability is excellent and his knowledge of construction assisted us in completing a home we raised our our family in for many years. When we decided to down size & acquired another piece of property on a point around the corner from the original home we decided we had to call him again. This site was even more challenging in not only it's access but the bylaws for size and footprint were very restrictive. Our focus was to design a structure that reflected the past history of the Muskoka's and once again Mr. Thomas not only achieved our goals but exceeded them. To this day there is nothing we would change.

I would like to take this opportunity to recommend David Thomas as a designer and contractor. We first began doing business with David in January of 2004.

Our first project was the remodel and renovation of our kitchen, breakfast area and family room. We had begun interviewing designers and general contractors in 2002 with the hope of finding one that could conceptualize our vision for this contiguous area. And, then we finally found David! He demonstrated his competency and ability by just drawing the plans for the area as we envisioned it. He understood the obstacles we faced and he knew how to overcome them.

We were so pleased with the design and implentation of our first project that we looked no further when we decided to remodel and renovate our master bedroom and bath. Once again David came up with a design that was incredible given the small area he had to work with. On this project David also acted as our general contractor and we could not have asked for a better one. He handled everything effortlessly and with integrity.

Our only regret was that we completed all the renovations on our home; but, after getting the projects done, we decided to use David as an interior designer. He transformed our dining room, living room and entranceway into a cohesive, functional and beautiful space. Our only regret is that David and his family moved back to Canada and we lost both a friend and a designer. Dianne M. Franco

David Thomas is a rare talent. He offers an unusual combination of skills: a talent for functional, yet highly attractive design as well as the knowledge and experience to carry it out. He's far more than a typical remodeler. He's an architect, interior designer, and contractor all in one.

David completed our kitchen renovation beautifully, on time and on budget. We are delighted with the aesthetics as well as the functionality. He was patient, planned extensively ahead of time to ensure he not only met but exceeded our expectations. He watched over the project as if it were his own home, and helped us pick everything from fixtures to the perfect slab of granite. He ensured quality of workmanship and adherence to his well-crafted plan. The final result looked exactly like his initial drawing, only more beautiful.
