Thanks for your feedback Rashi! United Alarm seeks to create enthusiastically satisfied customer every time, so it is disconcerting to hear that you have not had a great experience with our company. Unfortunately when a client takes over a used system, sometimes issues can arise because the equipment is old. We always try to address all potential issues when the technician is on site, however sometimes things can arise after the fact. We do offer to extend our customers contracts in order to avoid services fees and keep our clients happy. This is the same as any alarm company. If we had to replace equipment in the first place, you would have had to sign a longer contract anyways.

We have checked with all United Alarm staff members as well as the monitoring station, and all clients are supposed to get called every time the alarm is triggered, no matter what. If you didn’t receive a call, that is a major concern to us and we would like to look into the situation. United Alarm is a ULC (Underwriters Laboratory of Canada) listed company, which is a guarantee on the level of security monitoring you receive. Thank you for your feedback. We are so sorry to hear that you have had a negative experience! Unfortunately when we take over an old system that was not installed by our company, sometimes the equipment doesn't function well due to age or the quality of the original install. Often these systems work great, and other times the equipment may eventually need repair or replacing, and United Alarm cannot warranty another company's workmanship. Please contact our office, as our staff would be more than happy to assist in turning your experience into a much better one. If you are interested in getting a quote on replacing the old equipment, we would be more than happy to provide you with the pricing. If you would prefer to contact the company who originally installed the system and see if they would be willing to warranty their equipment, you are more than welcome to do so.
