They installed an American Standard furnace for me 5 years ago. Best name in furnaces they said. The furnace stopped working and I called them as there is still 5 years left on the manufactures warranty. The owner came by and did a diagnosis. A service tech came by later to do the repairs. He was at my home for over an hour. He didn't seem too sure of the problem. He could only do electrical repairs as he didn't have a gas licence. He replaced three parts. I only paid for labour. Two hours later the problem was back. I called the owner the next day and I was told I would get a call back. No call back of course. I called Peel Heating and Cooling and the tech told me in less than 5 min that the gas valve was shot. Problem solved. The Peel tech also told me that American standard furnaces are one of the worst out there. GTA also goes by Green Heating.

Stay clear of this company!!!! I contracted with GTA Heating & Air to replace a combination hot water tank / heating system. After installing the tank, and being paid in full, it would not deliver either hot water or heat. They left the old tank on the front lawn and never picked it up. After two weeks of none returned phone calls I hired a new contractor. The first thing he noticed was that parts that had been included with the new tank had been kept and the old ones reused. Second, GTA did not put their gas tag on the line indicating that they had done the natural gas connection. They are legally required to attach this when they touch a gas line. I will be calling TSSA to report them next week. They are dishonest and unreputable and heave no concern for safety or regulations. They also operate under Green Heating and Air. The principles are Ali and Hassan.

Needed and old condenser unit for the a/c in the roof top of my condo and after calling more than 5 companies, I was finally told by Ali from GTA Heating Air that they have the condenser I need.
Asked to do a diagnostic for a quote and he demanded $300 for his trouble. Paid him promptly and he decided to not go to the location to do the diagnostic because he was already familiar with the type of unit needed, so just demanded $300 for a quote.
Decided to have him doing the job and he finally decided to go see the unit to be replaced to verify what was needed to be done. As he wasn't able to get access to the rooftop the day he went, he was going to set up another day.
This was over a month ago and as per today I haven't heard back from him besides to be advised by someone claiming to be his brother that Ali was hospitalized and would have contacted me shortly. Again, haven't heard anything yet.
This fellow wanted to communicate only by text and wouldn't pick up the phone, that is the number listed to contact on their website!
I ended up going to a different company who did the job in less than a week.

I had the misfortune of dealing with this company recently. The interaction started off excellent I had issues turning from cooling to heating and they showed up within a couple of hours and determined it was a pretty major part and could not do the repair within my condo as it involved soldering which would not comply with condo rules and took my unit on a Monday at noon and promised to have it back that Saturday latest. To make a long and stressful story short from the time they had my unit I stopped hearing from them unless I contacted them. I would call or text them they never reached out once first on their end. I would hear tomorrow, or still waiting for follow-up and this pattern would continue day after day. By the following Tuesday - 8 days later I could not get a hold of them by phone so I texted and asked them to return my unit unrepaired and I would go elsewhere. Still no response so I had my husband follow-up and he basically had to threaten to report them if we did not have our unit back. They ended up showing up 2 weeks later with the unit fixed although I asked them to return it unrepaired. We came to an agreement out of desperation on our end to pay for the cost of the part but not labour. Working great now but so not worth the headache and frustration. Hassan was the main contact I was dealing with and he was beyond frustrating to get a hold of, have him return your calls, give an ETA or anything. Really frustrating experience overall I would rather have paid in full for great service and heat when I needed it most!

The first technician cleaned my furnace, said nothing was wrong with my furnace fan, although I complained specifically that it wasn't working properly. 2 Weeks later the furnace fan stopped on the coldest night of the year, The same technician returned and after fumbling around told me the fan motor was burned out and he would send another technician (the owner) to repair at the cost of $800 cash. I declined because the fan motor was listed at $150.00 on the internet, and then the first technician fumbled around telling me that they would now do it for $400.00 cash. I said okay as the house was by then at 12 degrees Celsius , so we sat in the cold until the next evening when the second technician showed. He at least knew something about furnace repair and told me, it wasn't the motor, but the circuit board, but he didn't have that and would have to return the next day. Temperatures were minus 20 on those days the house was now at about 8 degrees Celsius , my wife and I who are seniors sat in the cold for another day, and he returned, put in a "universal board" instead of an OEM board now wanted $700.00 cash until I showed him an OEM board was listed at $215 on the internet, and he dropped the price to $500.00 cash. The repaired furnace worked for a month and quit again. I can't recommend this company as they are not paying taxes, using incompetent service techs and obviously jack the prices for people who are desperate. I doubt the first tech even was a licensed repairman based on what he knew about furnaces, he couldn't even operate my thermostat without me showing him. It is companies like these that give the service industry a bad reputation, and I will never use them again for any reason.
*postscript **** The repair of their work was carried out by a competent and professional company, and I have no complaints about their competitors work or price

We experienced great service from GTA Heating & Air. Mike & team were hard working, provided great friendly service & they cleaned up after themselves. We would recommend them to family & friends.

I hired this guy to come repair my unit, first the didn't work and second time even broke my unit. They charged me total of $830 for repair, but nothing was working. They suggested me to replace the unit. I tired to arrange an appointment with them 3 times, still no show. I asked for a full refund on the amount I pay them (as said on the invoice, if they can't fix it , it's free) , they started to ignore my phone call. Don't ever use this company. They are extremely unresponsive once you paid them. Their number is 41666663070 and 4166277724.

The furnace and air conditioner were replaced but the caliber of their work was not up to my standards. They also had to be reminded to clean up when the work was done.

Although this company was very responsive, completed an emergency repair on a very cold night and supplied new furnace next day, I was thoroughly annoyed when I realized afterwards it was not the same company I was actually consulting with to replace my furnace (very similar name), eventhough I clearly indicated I was working with one of their sales people. The install...I see they did not vent the fresh air intake to the outside of the house, as I now observe with other homes with newly installed furnaces. The furnace itself is fine and is much better than our old one. I have also yet to see my rebate. I would not recommend this company to anyone.
