I spent a lot of time researching where I could buy what I needed to redo our staircase to match the tropical Walnut hardwood floors I installed. I was expecting Walnut stairs, railings and moldings would be crazy expensive so I decided to do the work myself to save some money. When I found Scotia Stairs, I contacted them with my intentions and they were extremely helpful. First thing was to suggest using Birch instead of Walnut, Birch is something like three times cheaper than Walnut. Larry assured me they could stain the Birch to match our Walnut floor very closely. I ordered the materials and waited. When everything arrived, I was super happy with the quality of the treads, railings and moldings which were all matched to our floors very nicely. During the whole process of building the new staircase, I had a lot of questions and everyone I talked to at Scotia Stairs was very helpful and patient. With their great ideas, suggestions and high quality products, I completed the work and our stairs look like a million bucks. You can do the work yourself, or you can let Scotia Stairs do all the work for you, they are much better than I am I assure you. Highly recommended. Good, honest, professional people at Scotia Stairs. Thank you Scotia Stairs for making our stair dreams a reality.

When we bought our west-end home and needed to replace an upper staircase, we thought instantly of Larry and his Team as he had done work for past clients of ours. It was a tricky design and install as we needed him to copy the lower staircase which was about 80 years old.
