Bekmar Mechanical Ltd.

Bekmar completed all the plumbing in our new house and the quality of their workmanship resulted in a continuous leak that was not detected in our shower for over a year and a half (the leak was hidden behind a toilet in a plumbing wall). Bekmar came to repair the problem (that they created) but insisted on charging us for two service calls (because they initially didn't have the part to repair the issue) which was a hefty bill. Bekmar claimed that our warranty was only good for a year but as I pointed out to them on numerous occasions this was not a warranty issue but rather a workmanship issue. They claim to pride their company on standing behind their workmanship in any situation on social media. This couldn't be further from the truth. Bekmar did NOT provide any customer service when dealing with this issue. Bekmar was only concerned about getting paid for their service calls. We were charged for 2 service calls and were left with the costs to repair the water damage to our drywall and baseboard (from their poor workmanship). Bekmar (Jeremy) threatened to hire a collection agency when I refused to pay and told them to contact my lawyer. Both their invoices ($480 total) have since been paid ONLY because it would have been very expensive to have our lawyer handle this matter. I would NOT recommend Bekmar as they don't stand behind their workmanship.

I had my recently renovated kitchen plumbing done - sink, dishwasher, and garberator hooked up. The plumber was efficient and friendly, and when I asked him to take a look at a problematic toilet upstairs as well he diagnosed the problem, sourced a reasonable replacement, and fixed it as well. The work was well done and I felt he was considerate of time and money - I would call this company again.

Toilet was not flushing anymore. The fellow fixed it and did a good job and was very friendly.

The furnace was not working properly, shutting off intermittently. Checked complete furnace, cleaned and serviced. Took the time to explain how it works and where the problem was.

He essentially rebooted the system, but checked the amp output, vents etc while he was at it. All fine.
While I was very happy with the service and the rep, I would have appreciated the advice on the phone first to try turning off the switch and then turning it back on (rebooting the computer) which would have saved us doing without hot water for a day and having someone come out when, given the weather, you probably had far more important calls. Not to mention the $ it would have saved.

Great repair; efficient and friendly. Independent as I was unable to supervise. Completed very quickly.

Our old tank was removed and replaced with a couple hours worth of work. We were very happy with the fast and quality service provided and would definitely recommend Bekmar Mechanical to others.

Great work by Maris Ozolins. He showed up on time was very focused and we felt like we got good value for time spent. No messing around.

Professional, conscientious & personable & willing to provide explanations as requested. Noise problem resolved - but as warm weather came immediately after work completed, resolution of adequate heating on both floors has yet to be tested.

Rinai on demand system. Unusual in AB but they serviced it and assisted in finding the necessary parts.
