After almost a year of interviewing and getting quotes from multiple contractors, we were thrilled to find Andy! From beginning to end, Andy and his team exceeded our expectations. His experience and strong relationship with suppliers really helped guide us through a million decisions and sidestep mistakes. Working with Andy, Lia and the rest of the crew was a great experience. A complete main floor and bathroom reno in about 8 weeks! Andy gave us confidence from our very first meeting. Hi knowledge and experience of homes the age and style of our was evident from the start. His follow up was prompt and he was eager to bring us to other homes they have done. The trades people that Andy deals with were all exlempary. Polite, professional and skilled. Our job expanded a little from its original scope and incurred no significant delays or additional expenses along the way. Andy and his team were a pleasure to work with. We always felt we were kept up to date on the progress and he was regularly available to answer questions.

This was our first time buying a home and renovating and all the horror stories we had heard/ read made us nervous. We called in 5 contractors to take a look and provide us a quote. Right from get go Andy made it clear he wanted to partner with us to make our vision come to life. He took us to see a few houses he had renovated, it gave us an insight into the kind of work he would deliver and it gave him an understanding of what we were looking for. We also had a really short window of time within which we wanted this extensive renovation done. Andy kept us on time and on budget, he was also very communicative, available to address our concerns and always offered solutions and alternatives when something went off course. Both Andy and his trades were extremely professional and very thorough. We would work with Andy again without any hesitation and absolutely recommend him.

I have hired Andy twice in the past four years - I worked with him when I was getting ready to open my business and needed a complete renovation to convert a 9000 square foot industrial space into a modern, open, shared office space - Andy was the GC and was a real pleasure to work with - he had great relationships with the trades, effectively managed all aspects of the project - including the unexpected problems that arise when working with old industrial buildings. This year I expanded my business to add an additional 1000 square feet converting it to six open, airy offices. There was no question Andy was who I wanted to work with on the expansion and once again he did a great job.

A fantastic design/build service team! I would highly recommend Andy to anyone planning a renovation. Meticulous workmanship in all trades involved: plumbing, tiling, electrical, and painting. Everyone on the team was pleasant, tidy, and very respectful of being in our home. Daily phone calls from Andy with updates on what to expect the next day managed our expectations through the entire project. Thrilled with the end results!

My husband and I purchased a small bungalow with the intention to completely gut and make additions to create our new custom home. We needed to keep certain foundation walls to get our permit, but essentially the finished product was to be a completely new build. After receiving various quotes that ranged from way too low to way too high, we found our perfect match with Andy from Stratas Design Build. Andy had worked on various homes in the area so we had a certain comfort level knowing that he was well respected and trusted in our neighbourhood. His crew was great, his site manager was very friendly and knowledgeable. Our budget for the most part was on target, but we did add a few things that were out of the scope of work , such as heated floors in the kitchen and master en suite, and a new custom door. We love our home and we're happy Stratas Design Build were there to walk us through every step of the way.

Right from the start it was an excellent experience. Before we found Andy we had received 5/6 quotes from other contractors for our project, while working with an architect, and none of them could really work within our budget. Andy had been working on a project around the corner in which the owners had given him raving reviews. Andy came over, went over our plans and came up with a plan that worked within our budget yet still met all our needs. He was the only contractor who followed up to go over the quote and thoroughly explained it all. The project started and finished on-time, stayed within the contracted quote and thou we did have 2 unforeseen issues, with our older home, Andy worked with us to stay on schedule with a minor increase in cost. All went so well inside our house that we continued with Andy to do our backyard landscaping (which was a complete gut of our backyard with retaining walls, fences, waterfalls, etc). His team were all wonderful to work with, showed up on time and did excellent work. You would not find a better contractor and team to work with. Andy and his team helped create a luxurious bathroom and update our 2nd floor master bedroom.

We started out with wanting to our ensuite, however I have always wanted hardwood on the 2nd floor. May as well do that!! Andy took the time to break down the costs for each project and trade that was going to come through. He even took the time to come to the tile store and make sure I didn't blow the budget. Very happy with the outcome of the reno, not only was he able to come in on budget but he completed the job on time!!!

I should point out we have 2 cats. Anyone with animals please know Andy goes out of his way to make sure they are safe while his guys are there.

From start to finish, our experience with Andy has been amazing. Everything was completed on time and on budget and he made it seamless and stress free. The work itself is beautifully, competently and professionally done with no small details overlooked. The bottom line is that we will go to no one else for future projects. We highly, highly recommend him.
