Beaches Handyman Temporarily Closed

We own an older home in Riverdale and had a long list of things we needed done. We found Johnny on HomeStars and decided to see which of these he could help out with. He got back to us within a few hours and was able to address all of our projects, which ranged from a full basement renovation to fixing cupboards and lighting. Johnny’s pricing was very reasonable and he started the project within a couple of weeks. He was very accommodating with our schedules and a pleasure to deal with – we were always kept up to speed on where things stood (even received daily email updates which were great).

In terms of the work product, the end result exceeded our expectations. Johnny’s value-add extended well beyond a “handyman” – he built custom shelving for our basement, helped us pick flooring and gave us lighting solution ideas. He made a clear effort to minimize the disruption from a space/mess perspective.

We highly recommend Johnny, the whole process was incredibly easy, efficient and produced stellar results. In fact, we are already planning our next series of projects that we’d like him to help out with.

Johnny hung three flat screen TV's. Wires hidden behind the wall. They look great!! He purchased the TV's for me so I didn't have to. Johnny sent me pictures throughout the day of various products I could choose from. That was great because I work and didn't have to look myself in the evening. it's great to have someone you trust and does an amazing job!!

Johnny fixed the very low pressure in our kitchen tap by replacing the tap itself. He drove all the way to the other end of the city to buy it, , then came and installed iafter trying with a local shop. He was very clean and tidy, and I would definitely hire him again!

Johnny did a fantastic job on some major repairs. He worked while we were on vacation. We came back to a spotless house and some amazing work. The wall repair work on our plaster and lath walls alone was impeccable. Very tricky stuff to work with. Also fixed a list of other things. Thanks Johnny! Awesome job!

Located Johnny on Craigslist for a small job. Showed up on time and did a great job, and cleaned up. Hard to find these days! Would recommend him with confidence.

Beaches Handyman quickly located the source of a leak. Minimal restoration was required, which reduced my potential costs, as Johnny fixed the leak without taking down entire walls and then drywalled and painted leaving things as good as new.

After wasting several weeks waiting for 2-3 different handymen to return my call from Craigslist / Kajiji , I turned to HomeStars and found a handyman in my area. I just moved to a brand new loft style condo, and had a list of install projects to get done. Some of the walls are exposed concrete so I didn't want to do it myself.
I called Beaches Handyman and spoke to Johnny. He came by the very next day to review all the work, and give me a time/cost estimate.
The day of the appointment he showed up on time and with enough tools to build a house! He was prepared, professional, and friendly. He didn't just install things, but gave me many options and ideas that I hadn't thought of . He was able to tackle all the small jobs like anchoring cabinets and installing hooks, as well all the larger jobs like shelving in all the closets, etc. He came up with a very cool curtain system for the living room using industrial grade wire/hardware, metal clip rings and fabric panels. The perfect look for the space!
I would definitely recommend the Beaches Handyman. If you want a professional job, by a skilled tradesman, then give Johnny a call.
p.s. He even brings his own vacuum, and cleans up before he leaves!

Johnny arrived quickly, assembled the fan and installed it professionally. My wife and I could not be happier. No job to big or small Johnny does it all. ..and more. We will use him again for sure.

Hurricane "Sandy' decided to swing by my home a few weeks back and took away the entire side of my back deck. I was referred to Beaches Handyman by a friend. I called Johnny and he came by right away to have a look. He provided me with a couple of options for repair and I decided to go with a deck re-build (something I was planning on doing in the spring anyway).

I wasn't sure building a new deck would even be possible at this time of year but Johnny made it happen. He made a number of great recommends that I would not have considered, and within four days I had a beautiful new deck. His work was top-notch and well thought out. He also noticed some bad wiring installed by a previous owner, repaired it, installed a new motion light - even fixed an old broken latch on my back gate.

The work was spotless - he left my yard cleaner than before he arrived! I received an itemized final bill on budget with a record of all expenditures.
I would highly recommend Johnny's work to anyone looking for any kind of home repair and will definitely be calling him for any other projects I need done.

We would like to thank Johnny for a stellar job transforming our basement bathroom and laundry room. He was on time, on budget and the quality of work was excellent. While he was there he also replaced a lock, built shelves, installed lights and gave us some much needed advice. His tidiness throughout was much appreciated.
