After wasting several weeks waiting for 2-3 different handymen to return my call from Craigslist / Kajiji , I turned to HomeStars and found a handyman in my area. I just moved to a brand new loft style condo, and had a list of install projects to get done. Some of the walls are exposed concrete so I didn't want to do it myself. I called Beaches Handyman and spoke to Johnny. He came by the very next day to review all the work, and give me a time/cost estimate. The day of the appointment he showed up on time and with enough tools to build a house! He was prepared, professional, and friendly. He didn't just install things, but gave me many options and ideas that I hadn't thought of . He was able to tackle all the small jobs like anchoring cabinets and installing hooks, as well all the larger jobs like shelving in all the closets, etc. He came up with a very cool curtain system for the living room using industrial grade wire/hardware, metal clip rings and fabric panels. The perfect look for the space! I would definitely recommend the Beaches Handyman. If you want a professional job, by a skilled tradesman, then give Johnny a call. p.s. He even brings his own vacuum, and cleans up before he leaves!

Awesome Idea..... the eco friendly boxes get delivered to your door. They are the perfect size and can be securely sealed and labeled . Way better than cardboard bankers boxes that you have to buy, don't hold much..... and then what do you do with them? A bonus is these boxes get picked up within a week, so you are forced to unpack and organize your place. I actually have bankers boxes from 10 years ago, that I still haven't unpacked! The owner Andrew is a pleasure to deal with, and was extremely accommodating with his delivery and pick-up schedules. He extended me an extra few days so I had time to put up some shelves, before I emptied my last few boxes. I definitely recommend this service. BTW do yourself a favour and book the dolly. It's only $5. but makes everything easier to move around while packing/unpacking.
