The Heat Source

Ive had Don clean our chimney every year for the last 8 years and hes always been reliable. He does a good clean job. This year he arrived on a very hot sunny day and suggested it may be better to postpone for a couple of weeks rather than risk damaging our new roofing tiles. It never crossed my mind that that could be an issue but it turns out it can be and I thank him for his concern. We rescheduled in plenty of time for the heating season and well see him again next year.

Asked to check and clean our propane gas fireplace. I was unable to watch but he tells me he removed the logs to clean the igniter, cleaned the glass. He also cleaned the thermostat contact and got it working again. That's it. The firebox and underside of the fireplace were still dirty. Poor job in my opinion.

I had the Heat Source install a new fireplace and a gas line for my barbecue. They did great work, it was done for a reasonable price and they were very friendly and reliable. I would hire them again and I am totally satisfied with all aspects of the job.

Less than stellar service. If you just want a basic cleaning then I guess they would be fine. If you have any questions or problems with your fireplaces or stoves, go elsewhere. Not helpful at all, I have to call someone to fix the fireplace???

We renovated and wanted an existing woodstove moved. The Heat Source came in and recommended different framing options for the chimney, installed the new chimney, inspected and provided a WETT certificate. Fast and clean install. Very knowledgeable.

I'd left chimney sweeping for two years and as a result had a totally clogged fue to clean. Don and his assistant spent extra time, I know, on the job in order to unplug the chimney yet they did the job without complaint and charged exactly what they quoted.
